William "Billy" Robin, also known as Winnie-the-Pooh (called as Pooh Bear, or simply Pooh), is the main antagonist of the Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey film series, which is part of the Twisted Childhood Universe.

He is a bear-like humanoid who was abandoned and left to starve by Christopher Robin and, alongside his close friends Piglet, Owl, Rabbit and Tigger, unleashes his barbaric, feral instincts due to his newfound hatred of Christopher and humanity itself, becoming a savage serial killer who murders anyone who visits the 100 Acre Woods. He is the twin brother and best friend-turned-arch-nemesis of Christopher Robin as well as the leader of the Crossbreeds.

In the first film, Pooh is portrayed by Craig David Dowsett in his first villainous role. In the sequel, he is portrayed by Ryan Oliva, with Peter DeSouza-Feighoney portraying a younger version of Pooh.

Appearance[]

Blood and Honey[]

Note: This only includes his depiction in the first film, which is an in-universe fictionalized version of the character.

Prior to the events of the film, Pooh was implied to have resembled his book and mainstream counterpart, having his trademark yellow fur and skin, being furry and cuddly. However, after becoming a barbaric serial killer, Pooh's appearance changed drastically. He still maintains his yellow skin minus the fur, and is large in stature, having the build of a muscular grown man (although he still has his iconic plump belly) as well as maintaining a sinister yet bleak expression on his face. He is seen wearing a red-checkered shirt with blue overalls and is either carrying an axe or a sledgehammer.

Blood and Honey 2[]

However, the events of the first film are revealed to be a fictionalized version of the true events and that Pooh's real appearance is that of a beastly anthropomorphic humanoid bear with dark yellow fur, fangs and claws and a brooding and intimidating figure, although much like his fictionalized counterpart, he wears a red-checkered shirt with blue overalls.

When he was younger, Pooh was shorter and thinner, being the height of a preteen, with his clothing being the same, except that he had no overalls and instead wore regular blue pants.

As Billy (when he was human before becoming a crossbreed), he was a short young boy with fair skin and short well-kept brown hair, he wore a gray sleeveless t-shirt and blue shorts.

Personality[]

Blood and Honey[]

Pooh was said to be very kind, gentle and friendly with anyone despite suppressing his feral animalistic tendencies. He also loved and cared for Christopher Robin and his friends, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit and Owl. However, after being traumatized due to being forced to devour Eeyore due to starvation, Pooh was filled with anger and hatred - mainly towards Christopher Robin for "abandoning" him to starve as well as humanity as a whole. As a result, Pooh buried all the good qualities he had within him and embraced his more primal instincts alongside Piglet to kill any human being who visits Hundred Acre Woods out of retaliation for their abandonment despite not being able to see that Christopher didn't mean to outright abandon them.

As a result, Pooh became a savage serial killer, being absolutely remorseless in his vile actions, even deriving sadistic pleasure from torturing and killing humans. He is also relentless as he hunts down his victims tirelessly until he catches them or they break down. He is sadistic and also theatrical during his torture and killings, often pouring honey on his victims as a form of humiliation as well as to make the pain inflicted on the victims more intense than ever before. On another note, Pooh is also unforgiving and cold. It is evident when Christopher attempted to coax out his humanity and apologizes, begging for his and Maria's life only for Pooh to slit Maria's throat in retaliation, with Christopher thinking that Pooh is beyond redemption.

Despite his horrible traits, Pooh still cared for his closest friends, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit and Tigger as their friendship remained genuine even after becoming savage serial killers. Pooh even halted his chase on Maria and Jessica to come to Piglet's aid after hearing his screams. He was even distraught and in tears when he believed Piglet to be dead in his treehouse and angrily confronts and kills Alice to avenge him. It's also shown that he cared for Eeyore, as he's shown to mourn him in the opening flashback and gave him a proper burial. It's also noteworthy that during his breakdown, Pooh is ashamed of the monster he's become as he grabs at his head in frustration but is overcome by rage knowing he's too far gone and reminding himself of what Christopher Robin did to him.

Blood and Honey 2[]

Pooh returns alongside Piglet meeting up with Owl and Tigger. Owl convinces Pooh to take the fight to ashdown. He is far more talkive and expressive than in the first film.

Powers and Abilities[]

He can detect the movements of humans as well as controlling his emotions.

Biography[]

Early life[]

William "Billy" Robin was once the twin brother of Christopher Robin. In his childhood, Billy was kidnapped by Dr. Arthur Gallup, who experimented on him and several other kidnapped children and transformed them into the Crossbreeds. The children seemingly perished in the process, causing Dr. Gallup to bury them in the 100-Acre Wood before killing himself, believing the experiment to be a failure.

The Crossbreeds, however, survived, having regenerated, though lacking memories of their human lives. Billy became a bear known as Winnie-the-Pooh, while the others became Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Tigger and Owl. The Crossbreeds developed a family bond together. One day, they met Billy's twin, Christopher Robin, and swiftly bonded with him. They would always spend time with one another during Christopher's visits and during each visit, he would always bring food for Pooh and his friends to share. Once Christopher reaches adulthood however, he stops visiting due to his desire to go to college and to top it all off, a harsh winter befell on Hundred Acre Woods, causing food to be scarce during that period.

Due to starvation, Pooh's animalistic instincts kicked in and he alongside Piglet, Rabbit, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, and Owl devoured Eeyore alive - severely traumatizing them as a result. Pooh and his friends would then blame Christopher for Eeyore's death due to him leaving and would develop an intense hatred for him and humanity in general. They would soon make a pact to abandon any form of humanity within them.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey[]

Five years later, an adult Christopher Robin and his fiancée Mary visit Hundred Acre Woods to reunite with Pooh and the rest. However, they are soon ambushed by Pooh and Piglet. As a result, Mary is strangled to death by Piglet. Confused and terrified, Christopher implores with Pooh and Piglet to spare him, as well as questioning their reasons for the attack, but Christopher is quickly subdued and taken by Pooh to be tortured in his treehouse. From that moment on, Christopher would be severely tortured and humiliated by Pooh, who violently whips his back with Eeyore's severed tail as retaliation and vengeance for Eeyore's demise. A few more people would also come to visit Hundred Acre Woods but are either killed or brought back to the treehouse to be tortured alongside Christopher. However, one of their victims Charlene whose husband was killed by Piglet secretly plots her vengeance against him and Pooh for the murder of her husband.

Sometime after, a group of college students Maria, Jessica, Alice, Zoe, Tina and Lara rent a cabin in Hundred Acre Woods to spend their semester break, prompting Pooh and Piglet to silently stalk them for a moment before deciding to kill them off one-by-one. Tina was the first one to die as she was lost on the way to the cabin and stumbled across an abandoned factory only to be found by Pooh who grinds her in a woodchipper. Later on, Lara is resting alone in a jacuzzi near the cabin, which allows Piglet to knock her out with chloroform then ties her up and gags her as Pooh to run her over with her car, killing her, Pooh and Piglet would then hunt down Maria and Jessica after they discover the grisly scene and follow them into the cabin. Alice and Zoe are attacked by Piglet but only Zoe was killed during the attack. Maria and Jessica would hide and watch before following Pooh and Piglet as they carry the unconscious Alice to Pooh's treehouse where they discover a worn-down and bloodied Christopher and the rest of the victim's held captive.

Maria and Jessica free Alice, Christopher and the rest, Charlene calls out to Piglet for a fight, but Pooh subdues her and allows Piglet to kill her by mauling her face. Pooh then proceeds to chase Maria and Jessica into the woods as Alice stays behind to knock out Piglet with his sledgehammer as he devours Charlene. Pooh hears Piglet's yowls of pain and runs back to the treehouse to help him, only to find Piglet already uncounsciouss on the floor. In tears and saddened believing his closest friend to be dead, Pooh angrily confronts Alice and brutally impales her to the wall with his knife, watching as she slowly bleeds to death as well as mourning over Piglet's supposed death. Meanwhile, Maria and Jessica run onto the road where they stumble across some local men and pleads to them for their help, but Pooh emerges from the woods and faces off with the locals. Though outnumbered, an enraged and feral Pooh manages to easily overpower the locals and kill all four of them after a brief fight before turning his attention back on Maria and Jessica.

However, Pooh notices Maria attempting to run him over with a car, so he quickly jumps onto it, avoiding a collision. However, Maria ends up crashing towards a tree, sending Pooh flying off the car as she loses consciousness, Maria would then awake to witness Pooh decapitating a wounded Jessica as Maria helplessly wraiths in pain. Pooh would then turn his attention to her and as he is about to kill her as well, Christopher who is driving another car, crushes him between his car and the other, seemingly killing him. Christopher would then attempt to assist Maria and helps her out the car only for Pooh to regain consciousness, having miraculously survived the crash as he continues to chase them. Due to the severe injuries of Christopher and Maria, a wounded Pooh catches up to them and grabs Maria, placing a knife towards her throat. Christopher would then attempt to reason with Pooh, begging for his forgiveness as well for his and Maria's life, vowing to stay with him forever and never leave his side.

Christopher's words catch Pooh off-guard, and his humanity is coaxed out briefly before he begrudgingly breaks his non-speaking vow by telling Christopher "You left." before defiantly slitting Maria's throat, leaving her to bleed to death as a horrified Christopher flees back into the woods. Pooh is last seen violently and repeatedly stabbing Maria's corpse in anger.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2[]

The events of the first film are revealed to be a fictionalized movie based on Winnie the Pooh's killing spree of which the real Pooh himself can be seen watching. Christopher Robin becomes an outcast when some in the town of Ashtown believe he is responsible for the murders at the Hundred Acre Woods, although his believers often hunt the land in search of the crossbreeds. With the advice of Owl, Pooh and the crossbreeds attack Ashtown in revenge and plan to bring down Christopher Robin once and for all.

The origin of Pooh and the rest of the crossbreeds is provided. It is revealed that Pooh was actually Christopher Robin's twin brother Billy, who was kidnapped as a child when playing with Christopher in the woods. Billy, along with other missing children, are experimented upon and have their DNA infused with that of animal genetics, thus creating the crossbreeds and turning Billy into a bear like creature. The kids seemingly die from the experimentation, and are buried in the woods, but end up reviving back to life. An amnesiac Billy, now known as Winnie the Pooh, would go onto meet an oblivious Christopher in his new form. Winnie the Pooh attempts to kill Christopher after Tigger's death, but is himself killed with an axe to the head. In his final moments Christopher calls him by his true name restoring his memories which causes Pooh to realize that earlier he had murdered his own parents. Owl retrieves the bodies, and intends to bring his friends back to life.

Trivia[]

  • Due to copyright reasons, this version of Pooh has no direct relation, inspiration, or resemblance to his Disney counterpart, and is instead a loose adaption of the original Winnie-the-Pooh from 1926 as the character entered public domain in 2022. As such, Pooh lacks his iconic red shirt, and his voice is deep and guttural in contrast to the Disney version's iconic falsetto.
    • Jim Cummings, the current voice of the Disney versions of Pooh and Tigger, has expressed his disgust for Blood and Honey and threatened to sue the studio personally if they try to imitate his voice as Pooh. He has also warned that anyone who edits his voice into the film will be in "very big trouble".
  • This is the third live action portrayal of Winnie-the-Pooh and the first one to be portrayed as a horror villain.
    • On another note, this is the first one to not be made by Walt Disney Studios as well as not being catered towards children.
  • Coincidentally, a parody of Winnie the Pooh was created by Dirty Potter that also engages in cannibalism.
  • Winnie the Pooh is said to take cures from Michael Myers as both are strong silent killers that stalk their victims and his massacre is comparable to Michael's massacre in Halloween kills. Additionally Winnie the Pooh's true identity being Billy Robin Christopher's twin brother also is similar to how Michael will kill his family members in the previous timelines.
  • He is the first version of Pooh to be biologically related to Christopher Robin.
    • On a related note, he is also the first version to have killed members of his own family by killing his own parents and attempted family murder on Christopher Robin, only to be "killed" by the latter, the only family that he spared is his younger sister.
    • Additionally, Billy could be a nod to the real-life Christopher Robin Milne's nickname Billy Moon.
