Appearance[]
In official art and merchandise, he appears to have two sides- one is animal-like, and the other is more robotic and "glitchy". This is a stylistic choice, likely to show that the realistic appearance is an illusion, and the robot is what it really looks like. When the illusion is active, he appears as a real wolf, but when broken he is revealed to be just a robot. Twisted Wolf is similar in appearance to a werewolf, due to his anthropomorphic build and hands.
In the art and merchandise, the Twisted Wolf's right side is similar to an anthropomorphic wolf, its muscular paw is long with four fingers and black claws, the same applies to the right leg. Also from this side, a long mane protrudes on its back, which, with such length, resembles a tail, as befits a wolf. This adds to his resemblance to a werewolf, as they are often depicted with manes that normal wolves don’t have. Interestingly, he doesn't have any mutations on him, unlike Foxy, Bonnie, and Freddy.
On the left side, he appears to be the least damaged of all the twisted animatronics. He is missing parts, but the damage isn’t as prominent. He has a dark grey hue and a white front, and like it is described in the book, the animatronic half appears to be made of plastic. He has 4 fingers (including thumbs) on each hand with blades at end of each of them.
Personality[]
Not much is known about the Twisted Wolf's personality or history. He seems to be a mindless beast that follows William Afton's orders with no extensions, alongside a seemingly feral nature.

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Twisted Ones[]
Twisted Wolf appears at the end of Chapter 8. He is first seen in the backyard, attempting to eat an unnamed woman, where beforehand they uncover Twisted Freddy's head sticking out of the dirt. During Charlie and her friends were driving home, she sees Twisted Wolf spasmed alarmingly, doubling over with his chest split open, folding outward like a horrid metal mouth. He lurched again, and something fell from inside him, landing solidly on the ground. The wolf toppled forward beside it, shuddered, and went still.
When Clay arrived from behind Charlie, staring at the human body. Charlie remained motionless, captivated by the wolfish pinpoints of light that stared back at her. The wolf tucked his head down, suddenly flowing again with a silver mane. His folded long, silken ears, and slunk backward, disappearing into the woods. There was a rustling in the trees, and then he was gone.
The wolf stared at her for a moment, then spasmed alarmingly with his chest splitting open. A women fell from inside him, landing on the ground. The wolf then turns and heads into the woods until it disappears into the dark. Clay approaches from behind Charlie and tries to assist the woman, who was still alive, while John and the others get help.
In Chapter 13, after Twisted Freddy got shot several times by Clay, the wolf appeared in a corridor along with Twisted Bonnie. As the twisted animatronics were slowly approaching the group, getting ready to attack, they were stopped by Springtrap.
Later, as Charlie, John, Jessica, and Clay were getting chased by the wolf and Twisted Bonnie in the underground pizzeria, they reached the room with a waterfall and headed directly for a passage beneath the cliff, where the water emerged. Then when they saw the two twisted animatronics, they stared at them so that they can cross through the river, destroying them, but they survived. Clay had the idea to light the water with gasoline, since there were gas cans nearby, but it didn't work either. Even though the wolf and Twisted Bonnie survived, they were heavily damaged.
After Charlie left to find Springtrap, Clay, Jessica, and John were cornered. The wolf attempted to attack them but was subsequently destroyed by Foxy.
Trivia[]
- A wolf animatronic was originally intended to appear in the first Five Nights at Freddy's game before ending up scrapped, as revealed in Dawko's interview with Scott Cawthon on the franchise's 4th anniversary. This concept was possibly reused for Twisted Wolf.
- Concept art of Twisted Wolf revealed that his right eye was originally going to be pale green while his left eye would be red, and his appearance would be much more divided between robotic and organic.
- Twisted Wolf made few cameos in the main game series outside of the novel universe:
- In Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, a similar beast appeared in "The Legend of the Terrible Man-Wolf" poster from the Back Alley seen in Scrap Baby's rare screen.
- This same poster can be found in Ultimate Custom Night in CAM 01.
- In Ultimate Custom Night, during the second episode of Toy Chica: The High School Years, a wolf animatronic is seen as one of Toy Chica's love interests. As Twisted Wolf was the only wolf in the entire series, until Security Breach, this is very likely a direct reference to him.
- In Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator, a similar beast appeared in "The Legend of the Terrible Man-Wolf" poster from the Back Alley seen in Scrap Baby's rare screen.
- The wolf is the first animatronic in the novel series so far to never truly be named. Throughout The Twisted Ones, he is only referred to as "the wolf", not even capitalized.
- It should be noted that Golden Freddy was the first unnamed character to appear in the series, with Golden Freddy only starting out as a fan name for the character, later officialized in Five Nights at Freddy's 2. However, Wolf has gone for an extended amount of time without a true name, even being referred to as Wolf on multiple pieces of merchandise.
