Tommy Callahan is the central antagonist of the episode ''Goliath'' in Law and Order SVU.
He was portrayed by R. E. Rodgers, who also portrayed Darryl Kern in an earlier episode, "Manhunt".
History[]
During his time in the Army, Callahan spent time in Afghanistan, where he took an anti-Malarial drug called Quinium. The drug greatly affected Callahan's behavior, this is proven when he raped his wife Jamie and she called the police. However, SVU officials have not been able to determine whether Tommy raped her or was consensual. However his commander Barbara Pierce assigned him to table duties, he then went crazy and attacked Pierce when asked for his weapon, throwing it against a table. He was then admitted to a psychiatric ward, Dr. George Huang made a remark about, but he was unable to discern the cause of his behavior. The drugs he receive in the psychiatric ward helped him regain his sanity. But he was horrified by his actions; and Callahan committed suicide by crushing his head on a concrete wall.
