The Original Alternate, implied to be the alternate of Adam is a minor antagonist of the analog horror web series The Mandela Catalogue.

As its name implies, it is the first Alternate that is chronologically shown in the series after Satan himself, to be more specific in the events of the Garden of Eden and the creation of the two first humans. Its implied that its existence was caused after Biblical Adam was deceived by Gabriel, leading him into being replaced by an Alternate.

Biography

Creation

On the first night on Earth, Biblical Adam is awakened by Gabriel by calling him his son. Adam is lured into a nearby tree, as fog submerged the forest he and Eve were in. The fog dissipated, showing Satan under a tree, the camera pans below, showing the Forbidden Fruit laying on the ground. It's implied that this was the moment where Adam either became an Alternate or was replaced by one.

The Second Night

The next night, Eve attempted to gaze at the stars just as she did with Adam last night, but soon she realized that the stars were now obscured by the silhouette of Adam, staring down at her from the skies, causing her to presumably be afflicted by Metaphysical Awareness Disorder.

Powers and Abilities

• Flight: It's likely that he was flying on the skies as it was staring down at Eve.
• M.A.D. inducing presence: Its sole presence was able to afflict Eve with M.A.D.
• Darkening presence: Just like Gabriel, its presence alone was able to obscure the stars in a completely unpolluted night sky.
• It can also be presumed that it possesses the abilities of a regular Alternate.

Trivia

• Not counting Satan, Adam and Eve are the only characters from Biblical times that have more than one appearance in the series.
