Terra (also known as Tara Markov) is a fictional character and a recurring antagonist in the 2013 DC animated, super-hero, TV Series, Teen Titans Go!. This iteration is based on the DC Comics supervillainess of the same name.
She is voiced by Ashley Johnson.
History[]
Terra appeared as the main antagonist of the episodes, "Terra-ized", "Be Mine", and "Rocks and Water"; and the secondary antagonist-turned-anti-heroine in the episode "Operation Dude Rescue".
In her debut, Robin was singing his morning song as soon he sees Terra, he calls her "stranger" and he thought that she was going through the Titan computer by looking at the files and calls a security meeting and she was left in metal suspensions with laser turrets aiming at her (a bit too much).
Soon after, Beast Boy tells everyone that her name was Terra and not some female hacker and he told everyone that she was his girlfriend; he gave her access in the Titans Tower which explains why she got into security. Everyone (except Raven) was happy for the both, that left Raven jealous because he went for Terra instead and he thought that she could be new addition to the Titans.
Next, Beast Boy and Terra are discussing what they like, and Beast Boy knows she likes sharing secrets and he flips a switch for a secret so she could have access to all of them. Terra later calls on the phone to an anonymous source saying she'll have all of the Titans' secrets.
It was soon revealed that there were ways how she wanted the passwords of the Titan sand all that business. This highly alarms Raven and her suspicions grow about Terra's intentions. However, the Titans accuse her of jealousy towards Terra, and they think Terra is in love with Beast Boy now.
At the end of the episode, the Titans send Terra to another world, leaving Beast Boy upset since he really liked her.
She returned in "Be Mine", where at the start, Terra vows revenge against the Titans, especially Beast Boy, all of the sudden, meat is poured on her and it turns that Cyborg put meat on her head and Beast Boy comes to save her from another world and she is finally free, later, Beast Boy asks her to be his Valentine. Terra angrily throws him down, then accepts as a plan pops into her head. Terra starts to stroke his chin and surprise him when a gift leaving him in happiness.
Later, Terra was crushing a door with a huge rock, Beast Boy arrives, asking her what she is doing. She tells him that she needs something for his gift that has to do with the warehouse, instead, Beast Boy turned into a snake so that he can open the door for her.
Then, it turned out this was a lie because Raven told Beast Boy that Terra doesn't like him at all and is planning to destroy the Titans (including Beast Boy), He did not believe Raven until she showed him proof that Terra hated which made him sad and began crying after he heard Terra hates him, asking what's wrong with him. Raven, feeling sympathetic, tells him there's nothing wrong with him, and Terra is just a terrible person. Beast Boy is still sad, and thinks he is not good enough for her. Raven tells him that there could another girl
Later at night, Beast Boy cried when he had no Valentine because Terra hated him and as soon as she popped to destroy the Titans, punching the ground causing an earthquake that swallows up Robin, Starfire, Raven, and Cyborg. Terra does a psychopathic evil laugh, Beast Boy tells Terra on how much she must hate him and then, he runs away crying.
Terra, later comes behind sad Beast Boy, but he begins to serenade Terra with a song he wrote "Can't Fade Away", at first, she was angry, but starts to change her mood, until she finally seemed to become charmed by his song. She asks him if he really wrote it for her, and he tells her he did.
The episode ends with the fight between Raven and her, she sent her into the hole, Beast Boy comes and joins her, with Raven wanting to tell him how she really felt.
In the episode, "Rocks and Water", she returned with Beast Boy saying "Can't Fade Away" to her until she got tired of it, even though he was already warned by Raven that Terra was already evil, Raven told him to get over that.
Terra returned and had more plans on destroying the Titans, Robin asked Terra what she wanted, Beast boy knew what she wanted which was "Can't Fade Away" which wasn't what she wanted, all she wanted is for him to leave her alone which left him all upset and began crying on the floor and wants nothing to do with him, which breaks Beast Boy's heart. Terra also reveals that she has found a new boyfriend, to which Raven seems pleased by, but Terra smugly states it was someone Raven knew. and Aqualad was revealed to be Terra's new boyfriend which left Beast Boy very angry that he saw him again and Aqualad tells him it all in the past. The Titans figure out they have nothing in common that (being about the sea and rocks, being a hero and a villain, and being a boy and a girl) until Beast Boy agrees there is nothing in common. Raven quickly states she is seeing someone. She puts her arm around Beast Boy, and claims him to be her boyfriend. Aqualad and Terra are amused by this, with Aqualad suggesting they go on a double date.
Next, Aqualad, Terra, Raven, and Beast Boy are at one table and start their awkward scene which confused Aqualad and Terra rather than jealousy, at some point, they growled which confused them even more, even the waiter was confused as well. When the two of them finally finish, Raven proclaims that she and Beast Boy have difficulty hiding their feelings for one another. They finally start eating, everything seems to be fine until Terra eats one of the food (calamari), Aqualad sees Terra's mouth, he became horrified to discover she is eating the calamari that raised him growing up, Aquadlad became upset and Terra tells me how she didn't know it was who raised him. Aqualad forgives Terra because she didn't know he didn't like seafood and they leave the table to make-out. Raven realizes that Aqualad and Terra were very close, and that it would be difficult for them to be broken up.
In the episode, Aqualad and Terra are shown close like staying in the same bubble and upon reaching the sea floor, he conducts the sea life to perform a symphony for Terra. Then, Raven and Beast Boy in their own bubble, watch from afar, and they make a boulder fall down to crush an octopus that was performing in the orchestra. Aqualad is angered and tells Terra, she could've just said she didn't like the song, while Terra protests her innocence, Beast Boy and Raven fist bumps in joy of how their plan is working. then, Aqualad is seen painting a picture of Terra, herself, then, Raven and Beast Boy ruin it like turning into a fish making her very hocked and becomes tearful of the portrait, telling Aqualad that he can't make her into a fish before running off. Aqualad chases after saying he still loves her even though she doesn't have gills, then Beast Boy mocks them by mocking Terra's crying, both laugh.
The next day, Aqualad and Terra are sitting on a bench in the park, with their backs towards one another and on the verge of a breakup. Beast Boy and Raven then show up behind the bench and throw a fish at Terra, and a rock at Aqualad, before running to hide behind a bush. This was the final straw, and the couple breaks out into a brawl and a fight, Terra threw a fish at Aqualad, as Beast Boy and Raven watch from the bushes.
Later, Aqualad and Terra find them, and figure out they were responsible for ruining their moments, Beast Boy happily snaps and shows them he's happy with Raven showing he didn't care; Aqualad and Terra prepare to get revenge on Raven and Beast Boy, but then disagree on what they're going to use whether to do it with rocks or sharks. Terra and Aqualad start to argue again, with Terra pointing out they had nothing in common other than their hatred of the Titans. They finally settle on Terra using rocks, while Aqualad uses sharks, and afterwards they date other people. The two of them charge, only to run into gorilla Beast Boy's fist, before Raven opens the trash hole beneath them, sucking Terra in for the third time and sucking Aqualad in with her.
