Sword Man is one of the eight Robot Master that appeared in Megaman 8. He is also one of four robberies that keeps the barrier in the Wily Tower. Dr. Wily had created Sword Man with an ancient sword he stole from a museum. Due to the enormous weight of his sword, Wily separated his body into two parts, with one part being the upper trunk held afloat with an anti-gravitational device because of that the two parties can act independently. He is a swordman and a gentleman, accepting the challenge of the Megaman and also stating that he has nothing against him.
Sword Man's attacks are to summon a stone head against the Megaman and then he will run towards the player and use his Flame Sword. When Sword Man is left with low heath he will put the sword to the ground and will summon a great pillar of fire around him.
