Quote

The Stormtroopers are stronger clone troopers and a faction of villains in the Star Wars series, serving also as supporting antagonists in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Following Emperor Palpatine's death, General Hux kidnapped children and converted them to Stormtroopers under his command. They also used to serve Darth Vader and Governor Tarkin.

Videogames[]

Stormtroopers appear in almost every Star Wars game acting as villainous troopers for the Galactic Empire. In DICE's Star Wars Battlefront II, the Stormtrooper will be playable as the Assault class for the Empire.

Trivia[]

  • One famous Stormtrooper was FN-2199.
  • They appear in almost every Star Wars game.
  • They appear to derive their name from elite German assault troops during WWI, who were referred to as "stormtroopers".
  • Contrary to popular belief, Stormtroopers do not have poor aim. This is shown in the beginning of A New Hope when Stormtroopers are taking Tantive IV with little to no effort. When Luke thinks that the sandcrawler was attacked by Tusken Raiders, Obi Wan comments that the blast points are too accurate for Sand People and that only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise. When Luke, Ben, Han and Chewie arrive at the Death Star and rescue Leia, the Stormtroopers were ordered to deliberately miss the heroes while shooting at them so the Empire could track them to the rebel base, indicating that Stormtroopers are actually good marksmen.
