Stheno in Greek mythology was the older sister of Medusa and Euryale, and one of the Gorgons, she unlike her younger sister, Medusa. Stheno was a woman addicted mainly to killing men which was one of her pastimes. She was also despite being a gorgons she was immortal.

Stheno like her brothers, she was the daughter of the primordial titans Phorcys and Ceto, she was born in a cave on Mount Olympus. Although she and her sister, Euryale are immortal. Her younger sister, Medusa was not. Stheno was very independent and fierce, she killed many men. Afterwards when Poseidon raped Medusa, Athena cursed both Medusa and her sister and turned them into Gorgons.
