However, thanks to flashbacks in "Mine Your Own Business", we see Steve is a far more evil, manipulative villain than it previously seemed, leading MePhone4 on despite planning to replace him.
Biography[]
Steve Cobs founded Meeple, creating the first few MePhones. Eventually, he managed to get some of his creations to space, where he attacked The Prime Shimmer to gather organic energy for a project. He gathered only one, with another being lost in space to be gathered by Test Tube and Fan later, to his frustration.
Going into Motion[]
After this, he created MePhone4. He trained him in his powers, and eventually figured how to advance his technology, marking MePhone4 obsolete. MePhone4 then escaped, leaving Cobs to run things as usual.
Cut forward to the episode "Theft & Battery", where the contestants finally meet Cobs. Cobs notices that Fan has one of the Shimmer eggs that were lost, and tries to manipulate Fan into giving it to him, eventually taking it by force. After an alarm goes off though, he lets Fan and the egg go.
The Incoming Call[]
In "Alternate Reality Show", Paintbrush paints a picture of Cobs, which puts MePhone4 into a trauma induced sleep mode.
In the stinger of "Hatching The Plan", Cobs sends MePhoneX to the island.
In "Truth or Flare", he appears at the end to make a surprise call towards MePhone4 before being declined.
Cat's out of the Bag[]

He appears in person in the end to confront Knife and Suitcase for the finale. He initially converses about his invention, as well as his deletion of the other contestants via MePhoneX. He admits to watching Inanimate Insanity when his own inventions began receiving less support, seeking to control the ending. He then begins to reveal the truth behind the show until he accepts MePhone4's call, who had been trying to contact him after finding the motivation to confront him, which he accepts. letting him listen to their conversation. Suitcase and Knife do not know what to answer, and Cobs reveals that MePhone4 created his contestants for his sake. This causes Suitcase and Knife to get an existential crisis and start glitching, leaving MePhone4 in failure and forcing him to surrender.
