The Spider is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Slendrina's Mom) in the 2017 horror game Granny.

Biography

The Spider is Granny's pet spider presumably originating from the previous game Slendrina X, created by the same developer. He will be always located in an opened cage in a special room of the attic unlocked with a special key, guarding the room from the player if the latter gets spotted (there will always be an useful item in the cabinet of that room). He has a deadly bite and is extremely fast.

Strategy

There are three ways to avoid the spider:

1. Shoot him with the shotgun to kill him for that day. Although effective, the spider's speed makes this difficult.
2. Quickly fill his table with meat and rush to get the item from the cabinet, because the spider will finish his meal quickly.
3. Shoot the red button on the wall to make a wooden plank fall in front of the spider and keep him trapped in his cage for the day.

Trivia

• Granny reacts with genuine rage upon the spider's death, proving that she does love her pet despite her evil ways. Similarly, the spider is not hostile toward her.
• The Spider will never leave his room and will rarely ever leave the cage unless the Player is spotted.
• Most spiders, including tarantulas, are smaller than this spider, making him unusually large for his species.
