Slade Joseph Wilson or known only as Slade, is the main antagonist of the animated series Teen Titans. He is Robin's arch-nemesis, and unlike his DC counterpart, Deathstroke, he is a master criminal.
Personality[]
Slade is calm, composable and unflappable. And it remains a puzzle for both allies and enemies. And as a result you don't get much about your real personality. Although it was made since he and Robin have one trait in common that is their dislike and losing fiercely devoted and obsessive. And when it is to accomplish your goals. Slade is cruel, ruthless, calculating, violent ans a master manipulador. He is sadistic, and with no chance of redemption, he also exploits the weakness and fear of his enemies to use.
Apearance[]
He is a tall man of an unknown age, he wears a black full-body armored suit with monochromatic color schemes and steel-tipped boots, which is attached to the suit with many silver matching around him, and a utility belt that he uses it to store items he needs, and with weapons and detonators communication devices. But nevertheless its most prominent characterist is the mask, which covers one orange side and one black side. However, in the episode The End Part II, Slade's skull shows that he has only one eye, and his empty cavities are straight into the eye and indicate that he has enough wound to cut the bone. And also your eyes are dark gray and often looking black at a distance.
In an episode The Apprentice, it is shown in a brief glimpse of the silhoutte on Slade's head without his mask, which shows that he has short spiky hair, although it is gray blond or maybe brown. He is caucasian, because several times his clothes were torn in the fight against Teen Titans, to reveal the skin underneath. In the fourth season when his clothes are torn he shows only bones instead of human skin because he was resurrected by Trigon.
Powers and Abilities[]
As it turned out, Slade doesn't have many superhuman skills, but he's very dangerous. He has a ruthless martial artist, and besides that Slade has a high knowledge of martial arts and combined with speed, strength, reflex and agility, he was also able to put all the Titans together against him. He also seems to have some knowledge of advanced technology and various secret hiding places, and an army of robots, he also knows how to use traps. He is also a master manipulator, he also uses explosives in the figh, and was said to have a fealing factor. After his death and resurrection by Trigon as his herald. Teen Titans[]
Slade sends Cinderblock to release Plasmus from prison as well as other criminals during fight against the Teen Titans, and after Cinderblock and Plasmus are defeated and sent back to prison. After Slade hires three young, Gizmo, Jinx, Mammoth to defeat the Teen Titans, however during the fight they are defeated by the Teen Titans in the process. Later on another day, Slade then disguised himself as an old man and managed to convinced the two brothers Thunder and Lightning to work for him, until brothers began to realize that their amusements were wrong and harmful that was thanks to the Beast Boy who taught them a lesson about it. While Robin fought Slade in disguised, the other Titans fought a flaming monster. Shortly after Robin kicked Slade's face he revealed his face and he disappeared thin air. Soon after, Robin looks for an obsessive way to Slade's real identity, he then disguises himself as a villain named Red X, however he since Robin and Red X, were the same person who slipped Slade away. The next day, he tricks Robin into his apprentice, and when Robin refuses, he threatens Robin to kill his friends with nanobots of his own design hidden from his body. Robin defeats Slade again and putting the same nanobots in his sistem, telling Slade that if he killed his friends he would lose his current apprentice, Robin instead of beating the Titans in one blow and having nothing in his way. Slade closed the nanobots, and in so doing, allowed Robin to break half of his mask, Slade brought his entire lair down and escaped again.
During his return in the second of the series, Slade discovers a girl with earth-manipulating powers, she eventually joins the Titans and after they warn that Slade is evil, he helps her learn to use her power and convinces her to become his apprentice, and after helping Slade conquer Jump City and defeat the Titans, Slade's abuses allowed him to gain consciousness, Terra then betrayed Slade who made him fall into the washing well and die up. For some time in the final battle against Slade, Robin was still obsessed with Slade, and inhaled a hallucinogenic drug released by his mask, and during his fight against Cinderbrock, he was Slade approaching, Robin attacked him, but he had no stratch. Because it was an he couldn't even want to touch him, Robin is beaten by Slade and getting many bruises in the process. Robin's friends try to explain to Robin that Slade isn't there, making Robin furious, Robin threatens to knock them down if they don't get out of his way, but Starfire drops him, knocking him in a losing battle. Just like all his lost hope, the lights make Slade disappear, Robin believes in his friends that Slade is not real and turns on the lights, and Slade's hallucination disappears.
In the fourth season, Slade is revealed to have survived to have survived from the pit, he gains new demonic and pyrokinetics powers such as flight, unbeatenness and also the S-shaped Scarth mark on his head. However it is later revealed that when Terra killed him, he had been resurrected by Trigon, who is Raven's evil, demon father. With that later when Raven sacrificed herself to free Trigon, Robin sees no other choice but to join Slade in the search for Raven. The two then go to Trigon's underworld where it is revealed that Slade's life, and after he separated from Robin. Slade came face to face with the demonic guard, and stolen his weapon and destroyed it by regaining his stregth. Slade helped the Titans in the battle against Trigon, only Trigon exploding it. He is not seen again after that, though Robin promised they would be ready.
Although he did not make the appearance in the last battle against Brotherhood of Evil, he possibly declined the offer to join them. Slade appears in the last episode of the series, teasing Beast Boy as Terra that was revived wants nothing more to do with him, but after the battle, it is revealed that Slade is a robot replica, which suggests that the real Slade is alive and active.
Relationship[]
Robin[]
Slade regarded him as a rival and the leader of the Titans. And Slade was impressed with his skills, and he wanted Robin to be his apprentice. Slade admitted that he tried to get Robin's attention by leaving clues and messages for him to investigate, and sometimes from time to time he would tell Robin thay they were alike, and he liked his progress and though if he stayed with an apprentice for a while. In time, he would become stronger, and when Slade's plans for Robin failed, he soon turned his attention back to Terra, and despite his charges, Slade still kept an eye on Robin. And after his resurrection Slade soon became interested in Raven, but nevertheless when his relationship with Trigon deteriorated.
Beast Boy[]
Slade wanted Beast Boy and the Teen Titans for personal reasons. Already in season two, Slade's relationship with Beast Boy discovered that turns out to be more personal after Beast Boy discovered that Terra the girl that Beast Boy loved was working for Slade, and when Beast Boy wanted to know why Terra had betrayed him, Slade so told him that could not help her and have control of her and have control of her destructive powers, that came to a standstill in a fight between the two. At the end of the mirror, and when Slade told the Beast Boy that Terra didn't want to rembember him and the Teen Titans. And like the rest of the Teen Titans, the Beast Boy hated Slade because of the amount of suffering he caused.
Raven[]
As is previous seasons Slade wanted Raven to be destroyed like the rest of the Titans. After he was revived by Trigon and given powers that could rival Raven. And when Slade told her about completing the plan in The End, Raven soon called him s fool for making a deal with Trigon. For all the harm Slade married, she showed concern when Trigon attacked him, and just like the other Titans, she hated Slade.
Teen Titans[]
For some unspecified reason Slade wanted the destroyed Teen Titans. He began sending subordinates and agents to confront them, he was also buried in his powers, he continued to watch the Teen Titans in action, and soon after in the first season, Slade wanted Robin to be his apprentice, and promised to spare the other Titans if he obeyed his orders. However when the other Titans tempted Robin, he almost killed them with the nano-bot technology that was in their bodies. In the second she is totally interested in destroying the Titans and with her apprentice Terra, however when she refuses to obey her orders, leaving Slade furious with Terra. In season four, Slade showed no interest in destroying the Titans anymore in destroying Trigon after the same betrayed him.
Terra[]
After Terra learning had failed, he soon became interested in recruiting Terra. And spent some time teaching her how to control her powers, she resisted his offer. However, when Beast Boy told the Titans about her lack of control, she got very upset and left, leaving the team. And unlike Robin, Terra was much more obedient to Slade. And after fighting and defeating the Teen Titans, Slade was impressed with her, and said that together they could rule the city, however when Terra began to rebel, Slade beat her violently, and after the abuses and beatings, she decided to leave. However since Slade's suit was tied to her nervous system, Slade wore it even though she didn't have much self-control, and used this weakness to try to find a more obedient learner, but when Terra finally realized that Slade didn't care about her. Terra finally regained control of herself and saved his Titans at all costs, which also occured in his death at the volcano pit.
Trigon[]
After Slade died, Trigon allowed Slade to work for him, on the condition that Trigon's agreement to make Raven submit to him and become the portal to be fulfilled, and if this agreement was fulfilled, Slade would return to his own body of flesh and would live again, and all though season four, Slade acted as Trigon's messenger and kept telling Raven about his fate, Slade later confirmed his part in the deal, but when Trigon convinced Raven to become the portal, he refused the deal and telling him that would no longer have his life back. Frustrating with Trigon's betrayal, Slade soon opted for a temporary alliance with the Teen Titans and decided to take revenge on Trigon for his betrayal.
Cinderblock[]
Cinderblock is Slade's loyal lackey, he sent him to free Plasmus. And then he sent Plasmus and Overload to weaken the Teen Titans, and then the merged with Plasmus and Overload and became Ternion.
Plasmus[]
Slade freed Plasmus to destroy the Teen Titans, and then he merged with both Overload and Cinderblock to form Ternion.
Overload[]
Slade sent Terra to release the Overload, and along with Plasmus and Cinderblock to weaken the Teen Titans, they then merged and saw Ternion.
Ternion[]
Ternion was a robot Slade created after the merger of Plasmus, Cinderblock and Overload. He then used it in the fight against the Teen Titans.
Gizmo, Mammoth and Jinx[]
Slade later recruited the young, Gizmo, Jinx and Mammoth to destroy the Teen Titans, but in the end, when they failed, he simply turned against them.
Thunder and Lightning[]
Slade disguised himself as an old man with fire powers, and manipulated them to cause as much chaos as possible to destroy the city, he used them to get Robin's attention.

Trivia[]
- Although he is based on Deathstroke, he much more in common with Ra's Al Ghul than him. Since he is a terrorist mentor rather than a mercenary, he also tries to recruit a Batman family member, only Robin instead of Batman, and he used supernatural means to deceive death, with Trigon's agreement, and the Ra's Al Ghul's Lazarus Pit.
- Slade is the second main villain in Cartoon Network who doesn't die in the end, the first being Aku (though he dies in the series finale after 13 years). The third being Mojo Jojo.
