Sean Slater is an anti-hero british soap opera EastEnders. Sean served as one of the shows anti-villains and major protagonists between August 2006 and January 2009. In fact the only characters that where arguably more antagonising than Sean during his first stint where the likes of child abuser Stella Crawford or the manipulative villain Archie Mitchell. Sean made a return in April 2019 and briefly caused havoc before finally accepting help. Sean would later make two cameo returns in November 2021 and April 2022, neither of these cameos where enough to see Sean cause any trouble.
Sean was trouble he thrived off trouble always rubbing people up the wrong way and often catching the eye of many female locals of Walford. Sean had many clashes with fellow male characters due to his confidence and arrogance, these included the likes of Jake Moon, Johnny Allen, Dean Wicks, Max and Jack Branning, and even local hardman Phil Mitchell. As such Sean also clashed with Archie Mitchell as it was clear the two didn't see eye to eye when Sean married Archie's daugher Roxy Mitchell.
Sean had his soft spot though and that was his younger sister Stacey Slater who he adored dearly. Sean had a strange relationship with his mother Jean Slater, he is often seen hating on his mother but is seen with deep regret at the way he has treat his mother.

History[]
Arriving in Walford in August 2006 and coincidentally bumping into his sister Stacey after being estranged from his family for nearly 7 years. Sean decided to stick around to get to know his little sister however not before he catches up with former army friend Al. Sean had a clear plan to murder Al due to Al shooting him and nearly killing him over believing Sean slept with his girlfriend, Sean never did. However Sean after bumping into to Stacey decides against killing Al but makes it clear if Al ever shows his face he will kill him. Sean has a frosty reunion with his mother Jean and its clear love lost from Sean toards his mother who sufders from bi-polar after the death of Sean and Stacey's father, Brian Slater. Sean begins a relationship with Stacey's best friend, Ruby Allen however Sean's feelings towards Ruby were not that of loving feelings, Sean was only after Ruby's millions that where left to her by her gangster father Johnny Allen. Johnny's right hand man Jake Moon realised this and this kicked off a huge fued between Sean and Jake. Sean even was the indirect reason Johnny dies after taunting Johnny to the point Johnny got so angry he had a heart attack and died, this would lead to the disappearance of Jake due to a misunderstanding by Johnny's contacts (Jake however was revealed to be alive by September 2024).
In 2007, Sean begins to clash with Max Branning although the pair where clashing before 2007 during Sean's plan to con Ruby due to Sean making a move and kissing Max's wife Tanya not long after his arrival. Sean often found great pleasure in winding Max up as he often bit but would also give it back this would sometimes lead the two men often squaring up. Sean also dated both Carly Wicks and Chelsea Fox at the same time and enjoyed the pair fighting over him this would lead Sean to clash with Carly's brother Dean Wicks, both Dean and Chelsea grew tired of Sean and even attempted to set Sean up over the attack of Patrick True which was infact carried out by Craig Dixon. Sean did spend sometime in prison for this but would ultimately be released both Dean and Chelsea are then sent to prison. Sean would later discover of Stacey's and Max's affair and would beat up Max and attempts to tell Tanya but decides against it after Stacey begs him not to, the affair is later revealed by Christmas 2007.
In 2008, Sean would grow close with Tanya after the affair fallout and would be roped into a relationship with Tanya but Sean is unaware that Tanya is only using him to get back at Max, Sean agrees to a sinister plan with Tanya to bury Max alive and Sean seems to be more on board with the idea more so than Tanya despite it being Tanya's idea during this period a drunk Sean spills out to Tanya that he was the one who killed his father Brian Slater, Tanya used this to have Sean stay away from her after re-burying Max and ends their relationship, Sean begins to go on a downward spiral bullying Gus Smith, even having Gus believe he eat his dog. Sean also begins to drug deal, clash with local copper and Max's brother Jack Branning, Sean even punches and attacks Jack when he discovers Jack is in a relationship with Tanya. Sean begins a lustful relationship with Roxy Mitchell however when Roxy is pregnant, Sean panics, kidnaps he's mother as he beleived she knew of Roxy's pregnancy, Sean however comes to his senses and vows to become a good father, Sean would later track Roxy down in Weymouth living with her father Archie Mitchell. The pair would retun to Walford and enter into a relationship but Roxy's older sister Ronnie Mtchell is against this and even attempts various methods to ruin it even going as far as to coast Sean into hitting her but her lies where also caught out, Sean and Roxy agreed to marry and Ronnnie attempts to stop their wedding however Ronnie finally comes to accept Sean and Roxy's relationship. Sean begins to clash with Archice but their feud would simmer down by Christmas. The same Christmas Sean would discover that he isn't Amy's biological father infact Jack Branning is, this sends Sean over the edge and he kidnaps his baby daughter known as Amy Mitchell, and later attempts to commit suicide with Roxy and Amy in the car, they all escape and after falling in a freezing lake, Sean leaves after Roxy tells him to go.
Sean returns in April 2019 after well over ten years since he last appeared, he takes Amy from school stating Roxy told him to however what Sean doesn't know is Roxy has been dead for the past two years after coincidentally drowning during new year 2017. Sean would discover this when Jack Branning takes him to the grave of Ronnie and Roxy, a fight would ensues after Jack bad mouths Roxy. Sean's real reason for returning to Walford though is to make peace with his mother Jean Slater after her recent diagnosis of cancer, Sean finally confesses to Jean and Stacy that he is the one who killed Brian after punching him causing a brain hemorrhage, Sean attempts suicide but is talked out of it by Jean and Stacey and later agrees to get help. Sean makes a brief cameo return in November 2021 when he helps his mother warn off Stacey's "wife" Eve Unwin. Sean again makes another cameo return when his heard on the phone to Stacey and later face times his mother Jean. Sean would send flowers to Stacey but she bins them for the lack of support Sean gives over their mother Jean.
