Samara Morgan is the main antagonist of The Ring, the American remake of the Japanese horror film Ringu, as well as its sequel The Ring 2. She is the vengeful ghost of a murdered young girl who seeks to frighten as many people to death as she can by projecting her malicious presence into a cursed videotape. She is the remake's version of the original film's villain, Sadako Yamamura.
She is portrayed in the films by Daveigh Chase.
