Sahala is one of the two secondary antagonists alongside the Sahala (Imposter) of the Space 1999 episode titled Dorzak. She is a Croton woman and arrives at the Alphan base with her injured companions in need of help. This turns out to be because of something within.

History[]

Sahala first makes contact with the Alphan base regarding an urgent message relating to her condition. The prisoner Dorzak had rendered her friends in a comatose state and despite her having a battleship, she is offered help. Although when she sees a member of Dorzak species the Psychons, Sahala tazes her painfully knocking her out.

A member of the base Tony is provoked to a point he imprisons her and an Australian member develops affections for her. They have a discussions and Sahala reveals how she believes Psychons bring destruction to the galaxy. Things don't go well any further as she then revives Maya but still repeatedly refuses to allow them to see Dorzak. Therefore she grabs a gun and creates a standoff where she loses and is imprisoned for a longer time. While she is locked up her crewmate reveals that Dorzak is good and Sahala is evil. Albeit this isn't completely true and Sahala pleads for them to heed her.

Soon they figure out that Dorzak can brainwash people and therefore they set up a plan to get a "Sahala" to meet Dorzak with tensions still high. So Maya shapeshifts and antagonizes the ship into bringing them together and finds herself later in the clutches of Dorzak who wants her to obey him, flying the ship away. This ultimately fails and she ends up passionately kissing with the Aussie.

Personality[]

Sahala is xenophobic towards Psychons and can be quite malicious towards them. Such as torturing them through inducing a coma like state. All while displaying a straight and serious face. Having little remorse for it. Although with the Aussie she shows that Sahala and her people are capable of compassion. Ultimately since Dorzak doesn't speak for his race all is repaired at the end.

Appearance[]

Sahala has blonde hair and white skin. Coupled with a light gray dress revealing her right shoulder. It is embroidered with white fur.

Trivia[]

  • It is heavily implied that nobody on the Alphan ship but high command was told about the covert plan for Maya to impersonate Sahala. Therefore it would be as if Sahala truly broke out. This would be consistent given her previously rebellious behavior.
