Rose the Hat (real name Rose O'Hara) is the main antagonist of the 2013 horror fantasy novel Doctor Sleep and it's 2019 film adaptation of the same name. She is the murderous leader of the true Knot and Dan Torrances arch-enemy.

Biography

(Novel) She first appears, along with two other members of the True Knot, stalking a young girl named Andy at a movie theater. She initiates Andy into the True Knot and then sets her eyes on another person who has a stronger shining, Abra Stone (Dan Torrances niece). She tries many times to get Abra and consume her steam but all fail thanks to Dan Torrance. Eventually, she and Dan, battle it out at the Overlook Hotel. It ends with Dan, Jack's ghost, and Abra pushing Rose off an observation platform, and she falls to the ground and snaps her neck, killing her.
