Rose Granville is a main villainess of episode Tragedy that appears in Law and Order SVU in season 5.
History[]
She was the rich mother of Melinda Granville and raising her by herself since her husband betrayed her with a secretary and left her alone with the halves of their economy. After the events, Melinda went on to credit that all men were equal because of this was promised that she would not let that happen to her daughter. Later when Rose that Melinda's fiance Daniel Lester had sex with Anikka Bergeon her ex-girlfriend at night and got her pregnant, she soon became convinced that Daniel would take Melinda's money and go back to her to prevent in happen, Rose soon decided to get rid of Anikka.
Rose soon attempted to do so by condemning a former mailroom official, Sam Marlet who was also a friend of Daniel's, so her cellmate Greg Jezic would chase and kidnap Anikka to deflect suspicions, Rose put an act of concern on Anikka and his unborn baby, and soon offering an irreproachable reward for information that would lead to his return. Greg was finally silenced when an exchange of money between him and Daniel went awry and got him to be run over by a car and while Sam refused to cooperate with the police because of his loyalry to Daniel. All this made the SVU detectives think Daniel was behind the kidnapping of Anikka and then thinking he did it to get her out of his way so he could marry rich Melinda because of her money. After hearing that Jezic's payment came from an account of the Cayman Islands.
At the end of the episode Rose soon was revealed as the main villain, when Anikka was kept in a hut and Jezic had kept her arrested, giving birth to her son and dying soon after, Daniel then finally confessed his innoncence to the SVU detectives, and they soon went to confront Melinda, whom she revealed to have recently discovered an account on Cayman Island, instead Daniel, Melinda confronts her mother who was soon revealing her misantrist motivations to organize the kidnapping of Anikka and her death, after hearing this the Detective Olivia Benson soon gave prison terms to Rose, late Rose sentenced to death and she was finally executed.
