Rorge is one of the antagonist of A Song of Ice and Fire.

History[]

Biography[]

Rorge is a dangerous and sadistic sex offender along with Biter who were forcibly recruited by Yoren into the Night's Watch during the visit to the King's Landing.

A Song of Ice and Fire[]

A Clash of Kings[]

Rorge is one of three of criminals trapped in black cells. He was soon removed from his cells and went to Wall in Yoren's band, along with Arya Stark, Biter, Gendry, Hot Pie, Lommy Greenhands and Jaqen H'ghar among many others. However, Yoren considers him so dangerous that he puts him chained in a cart along with Jaqen H'ghar and Biter for the trip to the Wall. And when Yoren's band is attacked in the eye by Amory Lorch, who Yoren is killed, Arya saves Rorge along with Biter and Jaqen H'ghar by giving them an ax to break free as the room burns around the wagon. And the three join the Brave Companions for a while, they then help Arya releases the Nordics who were held captive in Harrenhal, and although Rorge and Biter reluctantly, it was only because Jaqen asked for their help. 

A Storm of Sword[]

Rorge was part of the Bloody Mummers or Brave Companions, and a forage company led by Vargo Hoat that captured Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth near Maidenpool, Rorge threatens Brienne with rape and defeat Jaime. And later, he claimed that the bloodstained cloak comes out Cleos Frey's body. Rorge, Shagwell and Zollo return to Harrenhal and try to rape Brienne, but Jaime prevents them from doing so, and Jaime like Yoren, considers him dangerous and worst among the three members of Brave Companions. Rorge later fell behind in Harrenhal after many forege attempts. He was present when Brienne was thrown into the bear den and threatened Jaime when he went to save her, but Vargo Hoat intervenes and orders him to step away.

A Fearst For Crows[]

After Hoat's death, Rorge along with Biter where they found Sandor Clegane's helmet, Rorge and his companions wanted to use the kitchen or a dental wheel to take them overboard. However, when they discover that Saltpans is not an important port and that no ships were available to them at the moment, the bandits revolt and burn buildings and kill the people they meet. Ser Quincy Cox who is the Saltpans old man was concerned about the safety of his family and refuses to leave the helpless little ones in his power, the bandits later rape them all, including old Septon Bennet and the children in his mother's arms, and then when they finished the work the bandits then went west along with Rorge laughing at their men's cruel actions, they after destruction they went to Quiet Isle. The witnesses soon describe Rorge who was wearing Sandor's helmet and roaring fiercely his pack. Shortly thereafter, Biter brutally crushed his victims with his weight and pinned their flesh with his sharp tooth. And a witness also stated that a woman was raped more than a dozen times, so Ser Quincy Cox kept the gates closed.  

And the other survivor is Brother Clement who is a member of the order outside the Saltpans. And Rorge had his tongue ripped out when he refused to break his vow of silence, and claiming that Clement didn't need it anyway, Clement later died of his wounds, and some of the Brothers were injured and killed, while Rorge raped a girl. 12-year-old who was promised to faith as the tore her flesh while he was lying on her, and despite all the cruelties, the girl managed to survive and hid in time. While Rorge wore Sandor Clegane's helmet, he brutally looted Salinas, he then fought Brienne of Tarth at a crossroads and is killed by her.

Appearance[]

Rorge is a tall, caucasian man with long black hair and a severed and very strong nose which matches his barbaric and cruel nature and he also wears a brown suit.

Personality[]

Rorge is a cruel, sadistic, brutal, barbaric, rude and empathetic sociopath. He is also maniac who loves the suffering of others and is considered the worst of the Brave Companions.

Game of Thrones[]

In the TV series, Rorge and Biter are not as threatening as in the books, as they are just ordinary bad guys and are easily killed by Sandor Clegane.

Trivia[]

  • Rorge is also very different than his version of the Game of Thrones TV series, as in the series did not do the cruel acts his version of book did, such as rape, murder, mutilation and cannibalism, and unlike his version of the TV series, he is considered Complete Monsters/Pure Evil.
