Roland Durand

Roland Durand is a minor antagonist in Star Wars: The Bad Batch. His family way is "You take what you want", and his mother, Isa Durand is a master at it.

Appearance

Roland Durand is a green Devaronian male who had one of his horns cut off by the Pyke Syndicate.

History

When Roland saw the value of Cid's Parlor, he took it over as his family's custom is to take what the Durands want. After the takeover, he planned to build his reputation by allying with the Pyke Syndicate, selling them a cargo of spice that he kept in the back office of Cid's office, but he didn't know yet that Cid was planning to use Clone Force 99 and Omega to sabotage his deal with the Pykes. When Cid's acquaintances, Bolo and Ketch, staged a diversion by capturing Ruby, he ordered the guards to search for Ruby, and in the process, Clone Force 99 took the spice cargo out of the back office. And when he returned after finding Ruby, he found the spice cargo missing, and he sent his guards to chase Cid, Clone Force 99 and Omega who took the spice cargo, but his guards failed when the nocturnal insects called Irling woke up. While interrogating Bolo and Ketch, he was approached by a buyer from the Pyke Syndicate, who threatened him that the Pykes would no longer be of use to him if he did not keep the deal, and that his family would experience what real suffering would feel like if he did not correct his mistake. And when Cid arrived with her team, the Pykes demanded that they retrieve the cargo and return it to them while he and Omega were held captive by the Pykes, waiting for the others to return. After the spice cargo was returned to the Pykes, they cut off one of his horns and went back to Oba Diah, who then left with Ruby.
