Robbie Roscoe is a antagonist that appears in british soap opera, Hollyoaks. Robbie served as one if the minor antagonists in 2013 after his arrival and was later put onto some redeeming path until his departure in 2016. Robbie returned in 2024 and seemingly matured however Robbie would later kill gangland boss Dave Williams which seemingly has set Robbie up to be the main antagonist of the show.
Robbie has always had a criminal edge though being apart of a Roscoe five brother household that included his older brother Freddie and at one point dangerous stepdad Fraser Black. Robbie was also friends at one point with rapist Finn O'Connor although Robbie was absolutely disgusted when he discovered Finn's crimes. Perhaps Robbie's biggest introduction to bigger crimes was when he began working for Trevor Royle until Robbie had no choice but to turn informant against Trevor.
Robbie seemingly had a good life when returning to Hollyoaks however he began along with his girlfriend Hannah Ashworth to con married men and Blackmail them for cash, Robbie got in so deep it led him to be briefly ran out of town by Rex Gallagher.
Robbie is played by Charlie Wernham who also played Aaron Monroe on rival soap opera EastEnders.
History[]
Robbie is first seen in April 2013 as the school trouble maker, he makes friends with Callum Kane and Finn O'Connor and the three attempts to rob local shop in price slice however things go south when Robbie accidentally shoots Callum in the leg. In January 2014 after months of bullying John Paul McQueen with Finn O'Connor, the pair break into the school to rob the place however unbeknownst to Robbie, Finn attacks and rapes John Paul, Robbie would find this out and would be disgusted at Finns crimes. In April 2014, Robbie's stepfather Fraser Black was murdered, Robbie like all the Roscoe family members was indeed a suspect, Robbie's wasn't revealed as Fraser's killer though that would go to his older brother Freddie.
Robbie had a reputation of being a bad boy and this caught many females attention such as Phoebe McQueen and Holly Cunningham. Robbie has a twin brother Jason who he clashed with but is ultimately close with also. In 2015 Robbie begins to work for gangster Trevor Royle doing odd jobs for Trevor but would ultimately become stuck when Ben Bradley blackmails Robbie into informing on Trevor, after being sold out by Jason, who later helps Robbie. Trevor sets out to kill Robbie who manages to survive by jumping off a bridge with his brothers Freddie and Jason. Robbie leaves in March 2016 along with Jason to begin a new life in Australia.
After eight whole years since the last time we saw Robbie, he returns by May 2024 coincidentally being in a relationship with another returning character in Hannah Ashworth, it's seen Robbie is pimping Hannah out so tge pair can make money they in particular target Dave Williams who the pair have no idea is notorious gangster Blue. Robbie also has sole custody of his niece Lexi Roscoe who is Freddie's daughter, the pair ultimately clashed but would eventually come to an agreement. In September 2024, Robbie shockingly took it on himself to deal with Dave who had just had a showdown with Warren Fox, it's unknown how Robbie tracked down Dave's whereabouts but after seeing Dave surrived being shot by Warren, Robbie picks up the gun and brutally finishes Dave off.
A time jump occurs in September 2024 meaning its September 2025 in Hollyoaks universe and Robbie is seen being in a relationship with Vicky Grant, having a mini feud with Vicky's former lover, Ethan Williams. Robbie later sets up Sienna Blake to be blamed for Ethan's murder.
