Quetzalcoatl is the main antagonist in the first season of Legend Quest and the most powerful foe Leo and friends have fought yet by an immense margin. Once a well-meaning deity who helped humanity, albeit, through violent means, Quetzalcoatl grew angry, vengeful and bitter over his constant revivals and seeks to wipe out humanity and begin anew.

• Essentially he's a reversal of the Tezcatlipoca, Quetzalcoatl in Aztec Mythology. In mythology, Quetzalcoatl is the "White Tezcatlipoca", being essentially a benevolent aspect of the four-sided god, while here the Tezcatlipoca-analogue is the "Black Quetzalcoatl". He also doubles as the Norse Nidhogg, being an underworld serpent rival to Fenrir.
• In the field of Mexican animated productions, this deity had already made its presence felt in Ithrax's Brijes (or Guardians of the Lost Code) released in 2010.
  • But with the difference that its design was more akin to that of an anthropomorphic serpent and it played a heroic role.
