Punguari is the secondary antagonist-turned-one of the tritagonists of Netflix/Nickelodeon's 50th full-length animated film The Casagrandes Movie.

She is a 12,800 year-old demigod and a daughter of Sisiki and Chipiri who wants to become a full-fledged god. However, she is not bigger enough due to her lack of responsibility, being warned that there will be disastrous repercussions.

She was voiced by Paulina Chávez.

800 years ago during the New Fire ceremony, Punguari lives in Mexico with her two god parents named Chipiri and Sisiki. She is very impatient and jealous of her parents being honoured by the humans in every festival and she wants to become a full-fledged god when she's mature enough. Punguari was denied from being given such a title due to her mischievous nature and lack of responsibility, and there will be disastrous repercussions, foreshadowing the tragic mistake of her whole desire to be a full god.

Punguari congratulated her father for the festival and has stolen her father's staff from behind his back while hugging him. She uses her father's staff to access a realm holding an artifact called the Mask of Many Faces which has the power to transform demigods into gods. Upon putting on the mask on, Punguari used voodoo magic to command the mask that makes her a full-fledged god, but her actions cause the earth below her to start cracking and putting the lives of the Mexican people in danger.

While Chipiri protects the people, Sisiki pleases her daughter to stop, but Punguari refuses to listen. To make worse, Ucumu rised from the cracks to the surface and prepared to attack the gods. Sisiki protects her daughter from Ucumu, but to petrify Punguari into a mountain and the loss of her fallen daughter after attempting to change Punguari's heart before it's too late. With Punguari safely imprisoned, Chipiri and Sisiki work together to banish Ucumu back to the underworld, but their godly lives become gems under Ucumu's clutches. After the chaos, Mexico was saved from Ucumu's brief tyranny and the mountain was officially named after the young doomed demigoddess.

8 Centuries later, Ronnie Anne decides to skateboard down the mountain Punguari transformed into, but a necklace she bought earlier causes Punguari to wake up from her petrified state and disguises herself as a 12-year-old girl named Shara. After Ronnie Anne defies her mother Maria, Shara convinces Ronnie Anne to help her find the Mask of Many Faces. After finding the mask in a concealed artifact room at a museum, Punguari reveals her true form and traps Ronnie Anne in the artifact room, leaving Ronnie Anne heartbroken over her new best friend betraying her that she tricked her.

After Ronnie Anne being rescued by Maria, Rosa and Lupe, she discovers a scroll that tells the story of Punguari where due to Punguari's reckless actions and she unleashes Ucumu from the world. Meanwhile, Punguari transforms herself into a god and uses her new powers to create her own palace so she can conquer Mexico, causing the ocean to recede and the Earth starts to crack.

Arriving to Punguari's palace, Ronnie Anne reveals to Punguari that her story is wrong. At first, she thought her petrification by Sisiki was out of punishment, but it was to protect her as her actions caused Ucumu to rise and start attacking everyone to rampage through Mexico. Upon learning the truth, Punguari feels guilty as her parents sacrificed themselves for her. When Maria is in trouble, she and Ronnie Anne decides to rescue her from falling down from the crack. After the two saves Maria, Ucumu rises from the cracks in the ground and ready to rampage through Mexico.

Banding together, Ronnie Anne, Punguari, and the rest of the Casagrandes work together to defeat Ucumu. Remembering that Ucumu was defeating with a giant flaming chancla, Maria, Rosa, and Lupe go and get the stone chancla at the top of the town, Ronnie Anne and Punguari work to fight off Ucumu, while the other try to find the sacred flame to light the chancla.

While Punguari and Ronnie Anne fight against Ucumu, she discovers that the two gemstones on Ucumu's headpiece contain her parents, but this causes Punguari to become distracted and allowing Ucumu to strike her and Ronnie Anne. Ucumu summons his army of Lava Minions to attack people in Mexico, which Ronnie Anne's family has to fight them off.

As Ucumu is about to suck up Punguari so he can trap her alongside with her parents, the rest of the Casagrandes launch the giant chancla at Ucumu's face to save Punguari, causing his skin to burn off and revealing his skeletal structure. Ronnie Anne uses Punguari's magic staff to disintegrate Ucumu, reducing his body to ashes that fall into the cracks which he emerged from. Afterwards, Punguari proceeds to use her magic to destroy her temple which she uses the pieces to seal the cracks and ensure that Ucumu will never rise again.

After Ucumu's second defeat, Chipiri and Sisiki are finally freed in their physical forms and Punguari apologize to her parents for her reckless actions with the mask and nearly putting people in danger. With Mexico safe from Ucumu again, Punguari becomes now a better person when protecting the land along with her parents and admires herself as a true friend to Ronnie Anne.
