Plustrap is from the Five Night's at Freddy's franchise. He serves as a minor antagonist in Five Night's at Freddy's 4 and a major one in "Out of Stock". As well as in FNaF AR: Special delivery. They were created by the brilliant Circus Baby.
Background[]
FNaF 4[]
Plustrap is in the game in a minigame "Fun with plustrap". The player(who is playing as Chuck Afton) must use their flashlight to make them stop on the X. If they fail to stop them in time or take too long their failure will be met with a jumpscare. If the player wins they get to skip 2 hours the next night. In the Halloween update; they are replaced with Nightmare Balloon Boy.
FNaF AR: Special Delivery[]
Plushtrap did not make a physical appearance in FNaF AR: Special Delivery until October 29th, however, he did appear in promotional material for the game and in the trailer for the game. In the interview between Dawko and the CEO of Illumix, it was confirmed that Plushtrap would be appearing in the game in a future update, now revealed to be the Halloween Event.
Plushtrap has an extremely unique mechanic to most, as instead of appearing in the player's home, he takes the player to a brand new environment. Plushtrap's CPU is incompatible with other characters due to this reason. In this environment, Plushtrap will slowly make his way to the player; teleporting when the light flickers and string at the player when it's on. There are two generators to the side of the player. The player must face them and hold down the shock button to fill up a meter behind them. Once both meters for both generators are green, the player can shock and defeat Plushtrap when he gets close enough. If Plushtrap gets too close before this however, he will jumpscare the player. Occasionally, the generators will close and the player will be unable to shock them for a short amount of time. As well as this, if the meter gets above green and fills all the way up, the generators will break.
Out of Stock[]
The Plushtrap Chaser is Oscar's favorite Fazbear Entertainment character. Unfortunately for Oscar, they are very popular, to the point where the toys are completely sold out by the time Oscar arrives. Oscar, Isaac and Raj are in a line to buy one of the toy rabbits in the mall when the last Plushtrap is bought. Oscar then overhears store employees talking about contacting the police over a "life-like" Plushtrap that's been returned in a damaged box.
Seizing the opportunity, Oscar tries to negotiate with the clerk to purchase the toy, but the store clerk refuses. Later, taking advantage of the commotion caused by the toys being sold out, Oscar leaves money on the counter and runs off with the spare Plushtrap Chaser. Back at his home, he takes the Plushtrap Chaser out of the tattered packaging to find that what the store's employees were discussing was true, and the toy indeed had realistic human teeth and eyes. Oscar attempts to pry open the Plushtrap Chaser's mouth with a butter knife, but the knife snaps in two. Trying to figure out how to activate it, he notices the box's labels advertising the Plushtrap Chaser's features; walking in the dark and freezing in the light. However, despite his further efforts, the Plushtrap Chaser refuses to work and Oscar, disappointed, sets the toy aside.
The Plushtrap Chaser remains dormant the night before Halloween. While the kids are planning their trick or treating, Oscar finds a port in Plushtrap Chaser's jaw and tries to plug it in, shorting his room's lights. Oscar leaves and locks the door, but hears Raj's voice from the dark room, seeing something move in the dark. Soon after, the neighborhood's power blacks out, and Oscar, Isaac, and Raj hear knocking from Oscar's room. They get there, and find that the Plushtrap Chaser was pounding against the door. They hear a strange grinding, and realize that Plushtrap is trying to chew the doorknob off.
Bleeding from the gums, Plushtrap Chaser chases the kids to Oscar's mom's room, where Plushtrap chews down the door again. Oscar notices that Plushtrap's teeth are sharpened from chewing down the doors, proving his suspicion that the Plushtrap had human gums and eyes. They climb on the wardrobe, which Plushtrap Chaser begins to bite down on the leg. They point a flashlight at Plushtrap, stopping it momentarily. The boys hear Raj's voice say something from the other side of the room, and Oscar turns the flashlight away from Plushtrap. The boys yell for Oscar to put the light back on it, and the Plushtrap freezes, seconds away from biting into Isaac's leg. Plushtrap Chaser pursues them through the house some more - proving itself able to mimic voices - and with none of the phones working, they decide to make a run for it outside the house, pulling the garage door open and fleeing on their bikes.
Plushtrap Chaser rips his way out of the garage, catching up to the three friends quickly. In the distance, they hear a train, giving Oscar an idea. Oscar, sure of the train's timing, lures Plushtrap Chaser onto the tracks and hops out of the way at the last moment. Plushtrap Chaser, frozen by the train's lights, is struck head-on, leaving it's mangled remains scattered on the tracks.
Stitchwraith Stingers[]
Plushtrap Chaser briefly reappears during Everette Larson's flashback hallucination induced by Eleanor. Larson witnesses Eleanor creating the Plushtrap Chaser and adding human eyes and teeth to it.
