Philly is a major antagonist in the Dog Man franchise, being the inspiration of Supa-Mecha Philly and Claymation Philly. However, Philly himself is a minor antagonist, as he only appears as the secondary antagonist of chapter four of Dog Man, which is called Weenie Wars: The Franks Awaken.
He was originally a statue to promote a cheese steak restaurant until getting sprayed with Living Spray by The Leader Hot Dog.
History[]
He first appears when the Hot Dog Leader tries to find some muscle and finds Philly, a giant gyro statue with strong pink arms. He later sprays Philly with Living Spray. The two then go back to the ruckus created by Petey the Cat and the other Weenies. Dog Man, who was trapped in a cage created by Petey the Cat to crush all of the dogs in the city, throws a bone at Philly to annoy him. After a couple more bone throws, Philly angrily rips off the ceiling of the cage and picks up Dog Man. There, Dog Man eats the Hot Dog Leader, which drops the Living Spray can into the fire, which causes the can to blow up, destroying Philly in the process. Philly later appears in the How 2 Draw section of the book, which shows the reader how to draw Philly.
He would later become the inspiration of Supa-Mecha Philly and Claymation Philly in Dog Man and Cat Kid and Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild repectively.
