Pepito is a main antagonist-turned-supporting protagonist of Madeline Series.
He the son of a Spanish ambassor, a friend of Madeline and a supporting protagonist in the Madeline book series.
Animated Series[]
In his debut appearence "Madeline & The Bad Hat, Pepito first moves in next door to the old boarding school with vines in Paris, with his father, the Spanish ambassador, and mother. Feeling neglected by his increasingly busy parents, Pepito takes his frustration on animals, and other people. He sneaks up and shoots Madeline's red balloon, much to her displeasure. He then goes over and scares the girls, who are roasting marshmallows, and boasts about flying the highest kite. He seems to be acting polite in the presence of Miss Clavel, making her seem useless with Madeline and the other eleven girls.
He was a naughty boy who is cruel to animals and to other kids, such as even dunking a frog in filthy water. At one point, after Miss Clavel gives him tools for him to be active, she is unaware that he was building a guillotine, and he cuts off a chicken's head, which his chef roasts, grills, and fries it.
One day, Pepito is carrying a bag and is followed by an increasing pack of dogs. His final naughty act is (literally) letting a cat out of the bag, causing the cat to jump on his head. Therefore, both Pepito and the cat get attacked by the dogs. He then is bandaged up, and has learned never to be mean again.
Unfortunately, iit seems that he has learned his lesson a bit too well; Pepito believes in freedom so much, that he starts to release all the animals from the zoo. But Madeline compliments him to get him to return them to their exhibits (though this means that the fox, zebra, goat, and ibex are returned to the same one).
Movie Appearance[]

Pepito appears as a supporting protagonist in the 1998 live-action adaptation of both the Madeline book series and the cartoon show of the same name. He was portrayed by Kristian De La Osa.
