Pat Phelan was a dodgy builder and married to a woman named Valerie. Phelan went onto become one of Coronation Street's most rememerable villains. Phelan went onto scam the residents of the cobbles and caused the deaths of four people all murder three at his own hands.
History[]
When Phelan refused to pay Owen Armstrong for a job Owen and Gary Windass stole Phelan,s motorbike and made him cough Up Phelan later went into business with Owen and began harassing his girlfriend Anna (Who was Gary,s mother). When Gary leaned of this he was furious and warned Phelan to back off. Phelan instead goaded Garry and accused Anna of being a tart angering Gary so much that he hit Phelan with a wooden plank. Phelan then used the CCTV to blackmail Owen and Gary into finishing the work at a minimum Wage. Owen and Gary were only released from the contract when Anna slept with Phelan for their sakes. Ater Anna left Phelan laughed and teased her.
Later when Phelan was in Dubai he sent the windasses a letter telling him how well he was doing in an attempt to rub his glory in further. However things didn't go well for Phelan either as Valerie saw him for what he was and left Phelan leaving him with nothing however Phelan returned to weather field to do work on Kevin Webster's garage Phelan quickly befriended Kevin (who was now Anna,s boyfriend) and clearly enjoyed the problems it caused with Kevin and Anna's relationship.
When Kevin walked in on Phelan threatening Anna their friendship turned into a bitter rivalry. Phelan also posed as a friend to Jason Grimshaw while sabotaging Jason's business in an attempt to take over and after arranging for Jason's van to be torched Phelan succeeded in driving him out of the area. Phelan plotted a flat scam with his mate Vinny Ashford, around this time Phelan began a relationship with Jason's mother Eileen after feuding with her boyfriend Michael Rodwell.
When Eileen's son Todd discovered the deception he initially planned to expose Phelan but was persuaded to go along with the con on the condition his family didn't lose any money.When Michael broke into Phelan,s office and discovered fake passports Phelan caught him in the act. Michael soon collapsed but Phelan did nothing to help letting Michael die and even going as far to taunt him, the following morning Vinny double crossed Phelan and ran off with the money. Phelan then tried to make himself out as a victim. While many didn't buy it, Phelan was able to win Eileen back.
Following this Michael-s surrogate son Andy Carver correctly suspected Phelan of causing Michael,s death and assaulted him which Phelan used to coerce Andy into stealing i pads from Nick Tilsley and into burning down Kevin,s garage .When Andy tried to dispose of the laptop with the footage on it he got into a fight With Phelan who then took him prisoner(Phelan couldn,t bring himself to kill at the time). before marrying Eileen. Phelan took Seb Franklin who was dating Gary,s sister Faye under his wing much to Anna,s chagrin. Phelan was a suspect in Ken Barlow,s assault but Todd proved Phelan,s innocence using video evidence. When Phelan met Seb,s case manager Nicola Rubinstein he discovered Nicola was his daughter however Nicola was disgusted that Phelan had an affair with her mother behind her father's back this affected Phelan deeply implying there was some humanity in him despite all the evil he caused . Phelan was later able to patch things up with Nicola. Phelan became concerned when Daniel Osbourne began an investigation into the flat scam and went to interview Vinny,s mother Flora .Phelan threatened to hurt Daniel and used Flora to lure Vinny back to weatherfeild and persuaded Andy to kill Vinny by lying that Vinny was responsible for Michael,s death before turning the gun on Andy. after learning from one of her mother,s friends Lydia Hartman that Phelan raped her as well as the truth about what happened between Phelan and Anna (from Anna) Nicola disowned her father. Phelan then plotted spiteful revenge. When Seb fell of a ladder Phelan planted evidence to incriminate Anna and manipulated Seb into having Anna arrested Phelan testified against Anna and got her charged with a lengthy prison sentence .prior to Anna,s trial Phelan Killed Andy,s friend Luke Briton for inquiring over Andy,s whereabouts and tried to get seb,s fingerprints on the gun. Nicola returned and pretended to forgive Phelan While secretly conspiring with Gary and Seb to bring her father down When Phelan learned of this he was outraged by his daughter,s betrayal and disowned her.When Phelan heard that the legacy reach mills where the bodies where hidden was being renovated he wasted no time ensuring he got a job on the site allowing him to move the bodies and dump them in the foundations but fell in drowning . he was saved by Eileen and Faye,s father Tim Metcalfe. after this Tim tricked Phelan into confessing his role in the flat scam to Eileen who was listening over the car radio. Phelan escaped justice yet again when Eileen couldn,t bring herself to report him to the police. Knowing the bodies were on the verge of being discovered Phelan planned to flee the country by arranging a trip With Eileen. While Eileen enjoyed the holiday Phelan became stressed when he was notified that the bodies had been found .after getting into a row with him Eileen cut herself causing Phelan concern as he comforted his wife and tried to call an ambulance however as this was happening Tim phoned Eileen and told her that her husband was a killer. after this Eileen,s berating comments toward Phelan caused him to snap and lunge at her only to break the rail on the edge and fall toward the sea though he survived by clinging to a rope. he tried to convince Eileen to help him by claiming he knew where Todd was but this backfired as Eileen was infuriated and stamped on Phelan causing him to fall into the sea. Phelan survived and checked himself into a B&B under the name Alan Frost and set up an online forum for pregnant Mums to keep in touch with Nicola but Gary soon grew suspicious of this and tracked Phelan down. With the help of his army mate Joe Haslam Gary kidnapped Phelan and brought him back to weatherfeild. While Gary was torn on how to make Phelan suffer his girlfriend Sarah platt tried convince him to go to the police instead. Phelan made disparaging remarks over Anna causing Gary to lose his cool and hit Phelan with a plank of wood again .When Phelan managed to escape he threatened Gary and Sarah with a gun forcing Sarah to contact Nicola. While Sarah tried tricking Phelan by calling Tim instead it didn't work as Tim failed to understand the message When Phelan realised Sarah,s deception he came close to killing but instead chose to leave her and Gary tied up in the builder,s yard. Phelan then made his way into the his old home threatening Eileen and Nicola at gunpoint demanding Nicola let him see his grandson Zack. after accidentally shooting Nicola Phelan took her to the Bistro in order to force GP Ali Neeson to save her life threatening Ali,s mother Michelle Connor unless he complied.When police sirens rang out Phelan decided to take Michelle hostage and dragged her into the kitchen where he was shocked to come face to face with Anna When Michelle tried to get away from Phelan he shot her but before he could deal with Anna she stabbed him with a knife killing him.

- Michael Rodwell - Sat and watched Micheal die of a heart attack after Pat chased after Micheal with a crow bar however seeing Michael was suffering an heart attack, Pat refused to call for help despite Michael's pleas.
- Vinny Ashford - Pat orchardstrated Vinny's murder by forcing Andy Carver to shoot Vinny dead for his freedom.
- Andy Carver - Pat coldy shot Andy point blank after forcing Andy to kill Vinny.
- Luke Britton - Pat shot Luke, then shot Luke's gas tank on Luke's car causing it to explode and kill Luke.
