Nassor is the tertiary antagonist of Tim Burton's Frankenweenie. He is a Frankenstein-esqe classmate of Victor who seeks to win the school science fair.

He was voiced by Martin Short, who also voiced Mr. Frankenstein and Mr. Burgemeister in the same film.

Description

He is tall and thin and has his hair cut short making it look similar to the Frankenstein monster played by Boris Karloff. His pet was a hamster by the name of "Colossus". He speaks in a dark voice and moves like an undead making him quite scary and macabre.

History

Nassor studies in the same school as Victor Frankenstein, the main character. He explains the reason for the storms in the city which is in fact the windmill. He is mentioned by the Weird Girl who talks to Victor about the fact that she can read the future through the excrement of her cat, Mr. Whiskers. It was predicted that during a baseball game, Nassor would be knocked out by a ball, which it did.

He is seen the next day as a catcher, during a baseball match in which Victor participates and in which Sparky, his dog dies.

Later in the film, Nassor learns that Edgar has an invisible fish and asks to see it. However, there is nothing in the jar of water and Nassor threatens Edgar by saying that the trophy for the science fair will be his.

When he goes to the bleachers of the baseball stadium with Bob and Toshiaki, Edgar appears again and accidentally reveals the resurrection of Sparky by Victor. Thinking that it is to win the science project, Nassor decides that they must also do the same thing but "bigger". In the evening, he is guided by Edgar with the other two boys and the Weird Girl to Victor's house and goes to the laboratory in the attic. Nassor then announces out loud that they will all bring the dead back to life.

He then goes to the cemetery to dig up his hamster and assures Toshiaki that he is the one who will win. After connecting cables to the tomb, lightning passes into it and revive Colossus. Nassor tells it to get up and is terrified when he sees the magnifying shadow growling as it walks up the stairs.

He then takes Colossus to the Dutch fair where Shelley, the giant turtle destroys everything in its path. Nassor places his hamster on the ground and orders him to attack the turtle. However, Colossus is quickly killed again after being run over by one of Shelley's gigantic feet. The latter roars on Nassor who, moving back, becomes entangled in garlands until he is wrapped like a mummy and slides into a large nesting doll which closes over him.

It is unknown what happened to him after that and whether he was found and released.
