Nanook the Destruction, also known as the Ruin Author and the Monarch of Extinction, is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Terminus) of the 2023 science fantasy turn-based tactical role-playing video game Honkai: Star Rail.
Nanook was an Aeon that embodied the Path of Destruction. They were the youngest of the Aeons and sought nothing less than the destruction of all civilizations and all life in the universe, for which they employed their followers such as the Antimatter Legion to fulfil their bidding.

Nanook is the leader of the Antimatter Legion, an organization that travels the universe attacking and destroying whatever it can.
Nanook sent the Doomsday Beast to destroy the Herta Space Station until the trailblazer appeared and defeated it. As they appeared, Nanook glanced at them, granting them immense power seeing as Nanook is an aeon.
Origin and ascension to aeonhood[]
Nanook was born on a star system called Adlivun, a star system perpetually at war that was eventually invaded by The Swarm and destroyed as Nanook ascended into aeonhood. It is implied that Adlivun was destroyed during Nanook's birth due to his destructive nature.
