Mr. Cuddles is a minor antagonist in The Amazing World of Gumball serving as the main antagonist in the episode "The Date". He is the Fitzgerald's pet black tarantula who was thought to have been flushed down the toilet by Patrick. Believed to have died, the Fitzgerald family held a funeral in the arachnid's honor. Protagonist Gumball Watterson would find out that Mr. Cuddles was still alive sitting on the toilet seat but Mr. Cuddles showed hostility towards him and attacked him twice in the episode.
The Date[]
What was supposed to be a date for Gumball Watterson turned into a funeral when Penny's pet tarantula Mr. Cuddles was accidentally flushed down the toilet by her father. After Gumball was sent out for destroying Penny's little sister's picture of Mr. Cuddles, Gumball went to use the bathroom but before he could, Mr. Cuddles was there sitting on the seat showing hostility by hissing. Gumball tried to tell the Fitzgeralds that he found their pet but they ignored him. Gumball planned to show them outside so he tried to tame the arachnid but it showed aggressiveness by jumping on Gumball's face. Gumball screamed in horror and struggled to get the tarantula off of his face defenestrating himself in the process. He thought to hit himself in the face with a shovel but the tarantula remained latched on to his face. Pulling the arachnid off it bit him on his left finger causing Gumball to yell and accidentally throwing him at Penny. The Fitzgeralds thanked Gumball for finding their pet but Gumball was more concerned of the tarantula biting him. He asked if the tarantula was poisonous and Penny's father told him it would take at least 150 bites for it to be dangerous but as Gumball was about to head home, it was seen that the arachnid bit him multiple times causing him to pass out and be sent to the hospital. After waking up from his coma, Gumball is visited by his family and Penny, who foolishly brought Mr. Cuddles along to apologize but the arachnid is unapologetic and it leaped out of Penny's hands to attack Gumball despite his injured state.

Mr. Cuddles shows nothing but hostility and aggressiveness towards Gumball having attacked him twice in the bathroom and in the hospital.
