Mitchell "Mitch" Wilkens (real name Eric Wayne Proctor) is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Soulless". He is a sociopath who tortured and murdered another child when he was eight, and kills again as an adult.

He was portrayed by Logan Marshall-Green.

Biography[]

Born Eric Wayne Proctor, when he was ten, he molested and killed his three-year-old neighbor, Tommy Legatt. He was then arrested and sent to a juvenile facility and released when he turned 18. After being released, he got a job as a parking attendant. Mitch persuaded a group of rich young men that he was a billionaire named Max Van Horn, an heir to a cosmetics empire, and joined their social circle.

One night when he was with his friends he drugged 15-year-old Chloe Dutton, and led the others in gang-raping her. After realizing that she could identify him and send him to prison, he kills her by drowning her in a toilet.

Detectives Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson soon found Mitch while investigating Chloe's murder. When they find evidence that shows Mitch's involviment in the crime, Mitch soon stated that his friends raped Dutton and intimidated him join them, and said he tried to help her later. A.D.A. Alexandra Cabot believed in her story and offered a deal in witness against the others men. However, the mother of Tommy Leggatt appears and reveals to the detectives who Mitch really is, after that the detectives tries to persuade Cabot to give up the agreement, but Cabot denies and says this one with but tied.

Soon after, Benson and Stabler went in for an interview with Mitch's mother, Sally, who was convinced that her son had changed for the better, when detectives discover that Mitch had given her Chloe's bracelet, she finally admitted to herself that her son was a monster, and testified against him. Mitch was later sentenced to life imprisonment. Benson and Stabler later questioned him about the disappearance of Emily Owens, his landlady, but he refused to admit that he killed her.
