Mayor Wilkins

Mayor Richard Wilkins was the main antagonist in the third season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He was responsible for a long-lasting plot that culminated in him, as an ancilary to an Old One, and a demonic dragon form that ended up attacking Sunnydale and graduation, which in the end he was eventually killed by Buffy.

History[]

Many years ago, Wilkins was once an ordinary human looking for gold. He soon made a pact with the demon to save his own life, and stating that he opposes a city at the top of Hellmouth to give demons, vampires and other supernatural evils, a place to spread the exchange of demons that granted him immortality that it lasted for 100 years after the foundation of Sunnydale after he would be deadly again and would lose the chance to ascend to a demon. After that, Wilkins continued to direct Sunnydale as Wilkins I, II and III, while pretending to be the son of the latter to avoid being detected by others. He also stopped having romantic affairs later when his wife died of old age, while he remained immortal, although he came to have a strong attachment to dishonest Faith. This was seen much more as a fatherly than romantic instinct, because he treated her a lot more like a daughter than a spouse.

However, after Faith is seriously injured, Wilkins even goes to the hospital to find out how she is. He also swears revenge, he also tries to kill Buffy by handing her. However, Wilkins was startled when Angel appeared, and Wilkins left. After Wilkins soon appears at Buffy's school, and with his vampires, he soon begins to deliver a speech and transform himself into a giant monster. He kills Director Snyder by eating him alive, unfortunately Buffy manages to neutralize Wilkins and kills him.

Then at the end of the season, The First Evil used Mayor Wilkins's form to taunt Faith, and then used it along with other Big Bads to taunt Spike.
