Lynn L. Loud, Sr. is the supporting character of the Nickelodeon TV series The Loud House and a minor character in its spinoff The Casagrandes. He is the father of the Loud children and husband of Rita. He also has played an antagonistic role in some episodes.
Biography[]
In "Fed Up", it is revealed that Lynn Sr.'s astrological sign is Libra, which means he was born on or somewhere between September 23 and October 22.
In "Home of the Fave", it is revealed that, when Lynn Sr, was a kid, his father played favorites with him and his siblings.
According to "Study Muffin" and "L is for Love", he spent a semester in England, which made him love British culture.
According to "House Music", he tried to play in a music band, but his bandmates kicked him out, because they did not like his cowbell playing.
According to "L is for Love", he met Rita when he was walking through the street and they fell in love at first sight.
According to "Yes Man", he and Rita forbids Lincoln from going to the SMOOCH's VIP concert because they don't have any more money and given all to his sisters, thanks to them who took advantage of Lincoln's selflessness.
Lynn Sr. wanted to be a chef, but to keep his wife and children fed and well, he worked as an IT specialist.
Personality[]
Lynn Sr. is stern, and often calls a halt to his kids' fights, but he loves and cares about them. He also loves his wife, and often acts playfully romantic towards her. He has been shown to have a childlike side at times, even sometimes taking part in his kids' antics, when it's all in good fun. He's also the more sensitive of the two parents, often necessitating his wife, and stepping in whenever he needs to pull himself together.
On a side note, he seems to enjoy jokes and dancing. He is shown to dance on occasions in episodes such as "The Loudest Yard", "Ties That Bind", "Come Sale Away", "House Music", and "Lock 'n' Loud". It is mentioned in "A Tattler's Tale" that he won a dancing contest and received a disco ball that Lincoln broke. In addition, in "Sleuth or Consequences" he mentions enjoying karaoke. On occasion, he enjoys Luan's jokes, and tries making his own, which appeal to Luan as well, as shown in "Raw Deal".
He is also shown to be quite a coward; as he screams and faints at the sight, sound, and idea of spiders, as well as Lana's mud wrestling, horror movies, and Halloween.
He has a habit of prefixing words with "ding-dang" when frustrated.
Appearance[]
Lynn Sr. wears a sea green sweater over a light green checkered collar and cuffs, brown slacks and shoes. He has a long pointy nose, brown eyebrows, and curly brown hair that is balding in the top.
In "House Music", when he is playing the cowbell, he wears a yellow-striped shirt, and green pants with a rip that exposes his underwear. In his youth, he sported a mustache, though he seems to have shaved it by the time he met Rita. His hair was also straighter and parted in the middle.
Antagonistic Acts[]
- "Picture Perfect": He and Rita don't like Lincoln's homemade coffee mugs.
- "Cover Girls": He and Rita punish their children for lying by making them stay in their costumes all day.
- "Suite and Sour": He and Rita furiously grounds their children by order them to stay in the room for the rest of the weekend.
- "Vantastic Voyage": Instead of letting his children use the new van, he forced them to push the Vanzilla again and has been doing this for a long time.
- "Lock 'n' Loud": Lynn Sr. disguise as a burglar who had Mr. Grouse pretend that he was robbed so he can teach the kids a lesson.
- "No Such Luck": Lynn Sr., his wife, and daughters start to ban Lincoln from all of the family activities after Lynn Jr. declares him bad luck for losing her baseball game. Eventually, they kicked Lincoln out of the house, and gave away all his belongings.

- "Read Aloud": He, Rita, and the other sisters confront Lincoln and Lola that they missed the deadline. When Lincoln attempts to take the blame to spare Lola and nearly gets punished for his actions, Lola steps in and confesses them that it was actually her own fault for making them miss the contest.
- "Anti-Social": Lynn Sr. threatens to shut off the Internet supply if his family don't comply with his demands. Later, he becomes too attached to his devices and refuses to help out Lincoln with his social studies homework, uploads embarrassing images of Lori and Lincoln when they were younger, puts too much focus on live streaming his cooking, taking photos of dinner, and tossing said dinner out the window when he becomes dissatisfied with how it looks. When the siblings want their father to take a break from his devices, he barks at them like a dog and still refuse to give up. As the siblings reveal that he has become like them, Lynn Sr. apologizes and promises to spend more time with them.
- "House Flip": Lynn Sr. and Rita threatens to take away their childrens' driving priveleges forever if Vanzilla gets one more dent, but the kids have to sneak Flip into the attic to care for him without Mom and Dad knowing about their behavior and avoid being grounded from their driving priveleges. When the kids eventually forced to confess their accident with Vanzilla to their parents, they punishes and grounds them by banning their driving privileges for the rest of their life. However, Flip tells them to go easy on them, since they did take care of him. Realizing they went overboard, the parents decide to cut back on the discipline and revokes their driving privileges for the rest of the month. As a thanks for helping him get better, Flip decides to give the kids free Flippees once their ban is lifted.
- "The Taunting Hour": He and his family were extremely furious at Lincoln for revealing the critics.

- Lynn Sr.'s entire face was never shown during the first season. His face was revealed along with Rita's face in the Season 2 premiere.
