Lou Strickland is the main antagonist of Top Cat: The Movie. The 2011 Mexican-Argentinian animated film and the eighth full-length film by Ánima.
Appearance[]
He has a rather lumpy shaped head, almost oblong-shaped, with crooked teeth and his chin sticking out noticeably. On his chin is a mole with a few hairs visibly sticking out, and he seems to have a noticeable 5 o'clock shadow going on. His hair is a bright, vivid shade of ginger, slicked back with a huge cowlick. Lou's nose is quite angular, being almost triangular shaped. When close-up to his face, one can see that he has a number of pimples across his face, as well as wrinkles and liver spots. He wears brown pants hiked up rather high across his torso, nearly touching the collar of his white collar button-up shirt. He wears an olive green blazer jacket with bright red bowtie.
Personality[]
Despite his rather unattractive appearance, he considers himself to be the most handsome person of all time. He spends most of his appearances in the film bragging about his good looks and intelligence, and praising other aspects of himself. He also happens to be an incredibly greedy and selfish man, believing that robots are superior to humans, as humans are flawed creatures and often make mistakes. As time goes on he proves to be a rather strict enforcer, likely the reason for his name, imprisoning citizens for minor offenses. His self-centeredness and desire for power is a huge driving force through most of the film.
Top Cat: The Movie[]
Strickland first appears when Top Cat and the gang arrive at the Lazlo Wazlo concert. He rudely shoves them out of the way and insults them, which gives the cats the idea to scam him out of his tickets (as TC said that you can’t rob a person unless they deserve it). Top Cat tricks Strickland into thinking that the concert has a special curbside check-in for "extra special V.I.Ps" like Strickland, which the flattered man smugly agrees to. Top Cat takes the tickets to the gang and they enter the concert hall, leaving Strickland outside waiting for his golden chariot. He confronts the bouncer, who proceeds to slam the door in Strickland’s face. Angered, he throws a pole at the door and quickly runs to his car when the doorman comes back out to confront him.
