Dark Liu Kang is a minor antagonist in Mortal Kombat 1, and a villainous counterpart to the main version of Liu Kang and is an unplayable character in MK1's chapter 14.
Like his counterpart, he is voiced by Matthew Yang King.
Biography[]
In Titan Shang Tsung's New Era, he revived his old enemy, and turned Liu Kang into one of his most deadly servants. This Dark Liu Kang joined his master, as well as the Dark versions of Kitana, Mileena, Kung Lao and Nitara in attacking his Fire God self's Hourglass to destroy his timeline. He and Kung Lao confronted the heroic Liu Kang and Kitana, taunting them of their inevitable failure. However, his heroic self and Kitana thwarted them.
Trivia[]
- This design for Liu Kang may be inspired by some of his other designs, where in Shang Tsung's MK9 ending or in his MKX ending, he becomes a tyrant of the Netherrealm.
