Light Eye is a giant eye sentimonster created by Shadow Moth for Truth from his sadness and misery in "Truth". It temporarily goes berserk because of Cat Noir's cataclysm but gets defeated with Ladybug's de-evilization process.
Appearance[]
Light Eye is a giant floating angry eyeball. Its outer body is a black eyelid that covers its entire body except the front. Its eye is brown and Pharo has a white vertical slit in its pupil.
History[]
When Shadow Moth akumatizes Luka Couffaine into Truth due to his feeling of betrayal caused by his girlfriend Marinette not revealing her secret to him, he also creates Light Eye to assist him. Truth goes to his mother Anarka's houseboat and has Light Eye paralyze Marinette's classmates and then uses his own power to make them reveal Marinette's secret, although they only reveal that she's in love with Adrien Agreste, which he already knew. However, when he uses his power on Anarka and asks her who his father is (he never knew him, and Anarka never told him his identity), she reveals that his father is the rock star Jagged Stone, much to his surprise. Although Hawk Moth orders Truth to find out Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities first, Truth tells him that the truth of his father's identity cannot wait, and goes to confront Jagged on a rooftop where he is auditioning on his guitar, using Light Eye's power to paralyze him and asking him if he's his father. When Jagged asks Truth who he is (since akumatization changed his appearance too much to be recognizable as Luka), he reveals himself as Luka and asks the question again, to which Jagged answers affirmatively, much to his shock. At that moment, Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive on the scene and get Jagged to safety, although Ladybug was hit by Truth's power in the process, forcing her to answer all questions truthfully. Ladybug and Cat Noir use cardboard cutouts of themselves to fool Light Eye and Truth into thinking they've been paralyzed, and Truth goes to Marinette's house to interrogate her parents about her secret, although they, like her friends, only tell him that she's in love with Adrien, so he has them tell him the location of her diary so he can find out for himself. When Ladybug and Cat Noir arrive to confront him at the house, he realizes that he's been tricked, and telepathically orders Light Eye to come to him immediately. Cat Noir uses his Cataclysm on Light Eye, causing it to go berserk, and Ladybug makes it shine its light on Truth, paralyzing him and allowing her to break his akumatized object (a guitar pick he wears on his neck), releasing the akuma and amok from within. When Ladybug purifies the akuma and amok, Light Eye vanishes.

- This is the second time a sentimonster gets catalysmed following Reflekdoll.
- In the French dub, Light Eye is called Pharo.
- The word Pharo seems to be based off of Pharos, also sometimes called Lighthouse of Alexandria or Pharos of Alexandria, which is a a large Hellenistic lighthouse built on an island off Alexandria in Egypt in about 280 bc and destroyed by an earthquake in the 14th century. It is usually included among the Seven Wonders of the World.
- This may tie in to Light Eye's power to create light beams.
- In the Brazilian Portuguese dub, Light Eye is called Ocular, derived from the Latin word oculus, meaning "eye".
