Lady Wifi is an antagonist in the Disney (UK & US) and Nickelodeon (US) show Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. She is Marinette's best friend Alya Cesaire who turned to the dark side when she was evilized by the main villain Hawk Moth to become the supervillain "Lady Wifi".
Appearance[]
Lady Wifi has a black butterfly-shaped mask on her face, and her eyes are dark magenta. She wears a black suit, her lower arms, and legs white with three stripes that are white above each. On her chest is a glowing hot pink Wi-Fi symbol, and a thin white line goes around her waist, with the line creating a semicircle above a short vertical white line in the front, resembling a power button.
Personality[]
As Lady Wifi, her desire for answers increases considerably. Despising Ladybug's secrecy, she will stop at nothing to find out her secret identity, even if it means exposing a horrible person underneath, such as when she believes that Chloé is Ladybug. Her speediness to update onlookers remains the same, but her methods for finding info become sneakier than her normal self.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Technokinesis: she has the following abilities:
- Datakinesis: she is able to swap icons from her phone, such as a pause icon, and was able to project videos of herself on both a physical screen and from a projector (via the camera icon), even so with other television sets while trying to expose Ladybug.
- Digital Teleportation: she is also able to teleport through other phones and nearby antennas.
- Hand-to-hand combat: she put up a great fight with Cat Noir.
- Superhuman strength: she possessed a great amount of strength fighting Ladybug - she threw a large chest at her without struggling.

- Phone: Lady Wifi used this as her primary weapon.
- Tablet: she used a tablet as her weapon in Felix.

- Signal loss: Lady Wifi relies on a strong Wi-Fi signal. If it is too weak or destroyed, she will lose her powers over technology.
History[]
Season 1[]
"Lady Wifi"[]
After Alya mistakenly thought that Chloé was Ladybug, Chloe gets her suspended from school, causing Alya to leave in anger. This exposes her to an akuma and transforms her into "Lady Wifi". Then she returns to the school and uses her powers to video the principal, Mr. Damocles, and freeze him afterwards.
She proceeds to unveil Ladybug's identity. She teleported herself into Chloe's room, froze her, and unmasked her. But then Cat Noir and the true Ladybug appeared, much to her dismay.
When she finally trapped Ladybug in the hotel kitchen, she tried to take off her mask; but because it was magic, the mask didn't come off. Then she locked Cat Noir in the freezer, which knocked the ring off his finger. To improvise, Hawk Moth told her to get Ladybug to use her Lucky Charm. She releases Ladybug and leaves the camera icon up so Ladybug could be revealed after saving Cat Noir.
Unfortunately for Lady Wifi, Cat Noir covers the camera icon with a pot and they escape to the rooftop. Cat Noir destroys the Wi-Fi signal, and Lady Wifi is defeated after Ladybug smashed the cellphone. She is changed back after Ladybug purifies the akuma and restores everything with Miraculous Ladybug.
The Evillustrator[]
She appears along with Stormy Weather in a daydream of Nathaniel Kurtzberg. In the dream, they work together to trap Marinette and succeed. But then, "Super Nathan" rescues her and traps the duo.
The Puppeteer[]
Alya becomes Lady Wifi against her will after Manon (who was akumatized into the Puppeteer) uses her powers to animate the doll resembling her. Puppeteer then used Lady Wifi to take the other dolls resembling Evillustator and Rogercop, which Puppeteer also took control of. After they were all gathered up, Evillustrator made Lady Wifi another phone to replace the one Ladybug and Cat Noir broke when they thought the akuma was in her phone again.
After Cat Noir was possessed, Ladybug summoned her Lucky Charm. Then she tricked Lady Wifi into pausing Puppeteer, and thus, everyone else under her control. After Ladybug released the akuma from Puppeteer's wand and purified it, she restored everything to normal with Miraculous Ladybug, along with Alya, freeing her from her state.
Season 3[]
Gamer 2.0[]
She was one of the akumatized villains Gamer trapped inside his video game who later served as Cat Noir's avatar. She faced Timebreaker (who was Gamer's chosen avatar) and defeated her without fail. After Ladybug defeated Gamer again, she freed Alya and everybody else with Miraculous Ladybug, before purifying the akuma.
The Puppeteer 2[]
A statue of Lady Wifi appears in the Wax Museum, alongside Antibug and The Bubbler. Nino jokes with it, but Alya is uncomfortable seeing her akumatized self. Then Nino tells Alya to view the statues as people saved by Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Her statue comes to life after Puppeteer takes control of it, and then pauses Alya for The Bubbler's statue to trap her. But while trying to ambush Ladybug and Cat Noir, she accidentally pauses The Bubbler while at the same time, The Bubbler traps her in a bubble. After defeating Puppeteer (again), her statue is returned to normal with Miraculous Ladybug.
Felix[]
Alya got akumatized as Lady Wifi again after receiving a mean response from "Adrien". She forms the Trio of Punishers along with Reflekta and Princess Fragrance. After discovering that Adrien was impersonated by his cousin Felix, she redirects her vengeance.
Season 4[]
Gang of Secrets[]
She appear alongside Reflekta and Princess Fragrance, as well as Timebreaker and Horrificator. This time, she also resists Shadow Moth's control.

Mobile game[]
She appears as a boss in Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir. In the game, she appears to levitate while attacking, something she has never done before. During the battle, she will swap Wi-Fi icons with exclamations on them as well as red pause icons the player can use to attack her with.

She appears as an action figure.
Trivia[]
- Since Alya was Rena Rouge, she wasn't akumatized into Lady Wifi again in the Heroes' Day special.
- She is one of the most popular akumatized villains in the series.
- She is absent from Season 2.
- Lady Wifi appears another time in "Gamer 2.0" for Gamer's powers.
- Likewise, Lady Wifi made the most appearances of any Akumatized villain in the first season.
- In "The Evillustrator", she reappears in Nathaniel's fantasy, teaming up with Stormy Weather to attack Marinette.
- In "The Puppeteer", she makes her third appearance while being controlled by the titular villain.
- As of "Gang of Secrets", Alya is the fourth akumatized villain who disobeyed Hawk Moth, now Shadow Moth, following Gigantitan, Robostus, YanLuoShi and later Sole Crusher.
- Additionally, she is the first akumatized villain to resist him.
- A statue of Lady Wifi appears in the Musée Grévin in "The Puppeteer 2".
- Lady Wifi is the first villain who manages to remove a Miraculous from one of the heroes without making it disappear, as Cat Noir drops his ring when she throws him into a freezer. However, she is unaware of the success as she focuses on Ladybug at the time.
- The next to do so was the titular villain in the episode "The Dark Owl".
