Kishou Arima is the main antagonist of the Tokyo Ghoul franchise, he is an anti-villain who appeared in Tokyo Ghoul Re and Tokyo Ghoul Jack.
History[]
Tokyo Ghoul Jack[]
In the past Arima was promoved at a young age by his father Tsuneyoshi Washuu to a third-class investigator ghoul at the CCG, he began to perform tasks of killing ghouls, until a well-known ghoul named Lantern who was designated as Taishi Fura's partner. Then they met Uruka Minami who participated in the activities of the ghouls. After that it was revealed that Minami was actually a ghoul, and attacked Arima, he later defeats Minami.
Post Jack[]
Arima would later continue his task of killing ghouls, at one point Arima came across Renji Yomo's sister, Hikari and killed her, this shook Yomo who made him blame his brother-in-law Arata for not doing anything about it. After that Arima would know about the One-Eyed-Owl and he would get a kakuhou from Owl. In the fight Eto kills the wife of Kureo Mado who later would drive him insanity, Arima fights against Eto and defeat, after the fight Eto reveals he wants to see a ghoul who defeated Arima, and reveals to him his goal of wanting to change the world of ghouls for the better, with that he would help her to make ghouls the dominant race.
Tokyo Ghoul[]
Later, when Kureo Mado was killed, he was taken to the funeral of the CCG, in which those present were Arima. Then when the attack by Aogiri occurred. Ken Kaneki faced Arima, who defeated him easily, although he managed to block some attacks from Arima, he was unable to harm him. After that Arima would face Eto in his kakuja form, although he had an advantage in the fight. Eto managed to escape and take Yoshimura along.
Afterwards when Kaneki was captured by Cochlea, he would suffer amnesia, he would die if he did nothing. Arima then decided to help Kaneki recover his mental health, he later argued with Tsuneyoshi and Yoshitoki in which he appropriated Kaneki. Arima later gave Kaneki a new name, Haise Sasaki's nominee.
Tokyo Ghoul Re[]
Then Arima went on to supervise the Quinx Squad. After that after the Auction events, he soon saw Hinami Fueguchi, he was close to killing him. But nevertheless, at the last minute but when he saw Sasaki say that he was going to take over Hinami, he soon saw that Sasaki was reconciling with his former self. And accepted without reluctance.
Then Arima and Furuta meet with Kaiko on matters related to V, and on Eto if One-Eyed King. Kaiko then gave him the task of moniting Rize. Arima later faces Sachi and defeats him without much effort before his fight against Kaneki. Arima later returned to the CCG, and as Eto observed his memories as Kaneki. Then Arima faces Ayato but he evades all his attacks them in every way, causing Yomo and Touka to intervene. After that, during their confrontation with Kaneki, Yomo, Ayato and Touka together with Hinami escape. Arima then fights Kaneki, and even then Arima attacked him in various ways, and during his fight Kaneki manages to break his quinque and during his confrontation, Kaneki strategically manages to keep Arima, seeing that he was close to death, and satisfied to give the mantle to Kaneki he kills himself. Before dying, Arima asks Kaneki if he wanted to kill him, in which Kaneki replied that he did not, after which Arima reveals his origin as Half-Human and dies.
