King Orange is the overarching antagonist of the YouTube web series Animation vs. Minecraft, serving as the main antagonist of Season 3, and a supporting protagonist in the Actual Shorts.
He is an orange stick figure who initially lived a happy life with his son, but became consumed by rage after his son was killed when he went into a gateway into Minecraft. Because of this, Orange sought a way to destroy Minecraft once and for all. He is Purple's boss turned surrogate father.
Appearance[]
King Orange is a tall, dark orange solid-headed stick figure who wears a crown, although he took it off in the Season 3 finale.
Personality[]
King Orange is a cruel monarch with a lust of power, seeking to obtain the Minecraft Game Icon for a cataclysmic reason. He is also a terrible ruler, turning a Piglin Brute into a mindless husk just for learning about Green's escape. In comparison to the Dark Lord, who didn't bother hiding his evilness in favor of spreading death everywhere he goes, King Orange is a very charismatic and manipulative person who hides his true nature, being able to trick a village into being hailed as a hero, persuade Blue and Yellow into joining his side, and tricking Purple with the false promise of finding his father, only revealing his true colors once he gets what he wants. He also displayed a lack of foresight, throwing his previous blocks - such as the command block or gold block - away when he gained a stronger weapon, which resulted in both of them being used to fight against him. He seems to have finally learned his lesson by the end of "The Raid", destroying the netherite block after gaining his sceptre back.
Story[]
Past[]
Despite his name, "King" Orange was a king for only a short period of his life; for most of it, he was a normal stick figure with a little son, Gold, who he loved to playfight with. One day, while exploring the city they lived in, they came cross a new attraction; a gateway door allowing stick figures to explore Minecraft itself. King agreed to let Gold enter it. However, the simulation started bugging out and destroying itself. Gold couldn't escape due to the gateway door being locked and thus perished when the connection was terminated, essentially glitching out of existence. Heartbroken and full of hatred, King first attacked, knocked out and almost murdered the owners of the attraction before deciding to destroy all of Minecraft.
He began researching black holes and tried to not only craft a sceptre, but find a block powerful enough to create the black hole needed to destroy Minecraft. He managed to buy a command block, but disappointed with what it could do, found a new goal; the Minecraft Game Icon, the most powerful block in existence. One day, while going on a walk, he found that a store was playing a video of Animation vs. Minecraft, where a set of stick figures found the MGI on their computer before one of them was possessed by an entity that, through the video, showed the stick figure its potential. He began to put up wanted posters for the Stick Gang, the five sticks from the video, until he was finally visited by a stick figure called Purple, who not only knew them, but had the skills needed to help King in his mission.
King - who was using his command block simply because it was the second best option - crafted a Nether portal in his basement and, alongside Purple, entered the Nether. They assaulted a bunch of Piglin Brutes and convinced them to serve them, promising that they will be paid for it. The Piglins agree and King crafts himself a throne before Purple, who used to be a king himself, gives him his old crown; finally making his name accurate to who he is. It's implied that King Orange somehow learned that Purple is trying to find and impress his father, Dark Blue, and has offered him help, although this wasn't confirmed.
AvM Shorts - Season 3[]
Parkour[]
King Orange is the main antagonist.
King Orange is first introduced when Purple kneels down before him. It's then revealed that he is the mastermind behind the events of the episode, planning to put the Stick Gang in a endless loop of parkour while Purple will steal the MGI from their computer, with King replacing the command block on his sceptre with said icon, finally creating his black hole. It's also implied he wants Purple to kill the Stick Gang.
However, they are interrupted when one of his Piglin Brutes revealed that Green, a member of the Stick Gang, has escaped his loop. King Orange erases the AI of said Piglin Brute (or, more accurately, sets it to 1 but the effect is pretty much the same), reducing it to a lifeless husk, before ordering all the Piglin Brutes and Purple to catch Green. However, Green catches Purple first and they get into a fight, but King Orange, using the command block, holds Green in the air, allowing Purple to escape.
He is then seen at the end of the episode, imprisoning Green, showing that the Stick Gang's Pig was also imprisoned here.
Titan Ravager[]
King Orange is the final antagonist.
King Orange appears at the very end, saving two villagers from being eaten by one of the Titan Ravagers by killing it with his command block, then killing the creature's mate with the same method. Angrily walking towards Yellow and Blue, he suddenly becomes surrounded by the villagers thanking him for saving them. King Orange quickly pretends to be a nice person in front of the Villagers, before walking up to Yellow and Blue and telling them to go with him. Yellow sees that he has a command block on his sceptre, and takes an interest to it, deciding to join the king and convincing Blue go through it. King creates a Nether portal and all three stick figures go through it.
The Ultimate Weapon[]
King Orange is the main antagonist.
Blue, Yellow and King Orange come out of the Nether portal and into the latter's house. The king gives Yellow and Blue crowns as a sign of friendship, and Yellow puts it on after seeing a throne with a command block staff (in reality, the command block is false and can't do anything as it is a wooden block with a different texture). Blue recalls that Purple did the same to him and Green, only to abandon them to their deaths later on, and refuses to take the crown. However, once King Orange shows him a throne filled with nether wart, his favorite food, he easily accepts.
Green and the pig then try to enter the throne room, but King Orange tries to stop them. Eventually, Green activates a TNT, blowing away King and creating a hole on the room, and explains the monarch's plan to Yellow and Blue, who instead are more focused on reuniting with their friend and embrace him. Meanwhile, King Orange has had enough. He takes out the Mellohi disc from his note block, cracks his joints, plays a Pigstep disc and then fixes the room for the battle. He raises the ceiling using the command block spectre and creates three cages before confronting the heroes. The three stick figures successfully cornered King Orange and had him at their mercy, but then their items vanished out of thin air (it was because Purple gained control of the MGI, who glitches out whenever going through a Nether portal). While the trio were in shock of what just happened, the king ruthlessly took the opportunity to retrieve his sceptre, beat them up, and get the three inside of the cages.
When Red and Purple are fighting over the Game Icon, King Orange grabs Red with the sceptre and puts him in a cage. He then puts the MGI on his sceptre, making him even more powerful than before. He shoots a massive beam straight into the roof, killing some of his Piglin Brutes. King Orange then betrays Purple, even though he promised that they will share their power, and uses a giant dark laser beam to create a black hole. However, he's interrupted by the Second Coming, who had his own Game Icon, and the two duel. Meanwhile, his Piglin Brutes are wiped out, either through being killed by Green, Red, Blue and Yellow, or through being sucked into the black hole. Later on, when Purple was about to get captured by Green and Yellow, he asks King Orange for help, but he abandons him in favor of killing the Second Coming. Feeling betrayed, Purple runs off to a Nether portal and leaves the scene, with Green following him.
King Orange continues fighting the Second Coming. As the black hole sucks in everything and everyone, including Piglin Brutes, Red gets sucked into one of the Nether portals TSC spawned during his fight with the king, while Yellow and Blue steal the command block and return to the Titan Ravager village.
Eventually, TSC and King Orange accidentally collide their Game Icons while inside the black hole, sucking the hole into the blocks and creating a massive shockwave, blasting away everything and everyone. King Orange's castle is badly damaged, the MGIs are sent flying, King Orange is knocked out after landing back in his house, while the Second Coming goes through a Nether portal straight into the Deep Dark biome.
The Warden[]
King Orange is the main antagonist.
King Orange recovers and leaves his throne room, seeking to find one of the Game Icons. However, he's cornered by the Second Coming and the Warden he befriended. The king runs away from the rampaging Warden until he puts a gold block on his sceptre, which gives it strength that rivals the one of the Warden. Eventually, the Warden manages to overpower the monarch and take his sceptre away, punching him far into the distance. However, it turns out King Orange lands next to one of the Game Icons. When the heroes go to finish him off, he already has the MGI in his hand, floating in the air.
Monster School[]
King Orange is the main antagonist.
He confronts the two and demands the Second Coming to give him the sceptre back (as it was stated by series creator Alan Becker that the sceptre extracts the power of the block it holds, and thus is needed to recreate his black hole), but his enemy refuses. This causes a fight that ends when King Orange imprisons the Second Coming and the Warden in netherite and takes the sceptre back. Before he can put the MGI back on it, however, he's interrupted by Red and three hostile mobs the stick figure befriended - Endie (an Enderman), Skellington (a Skeleton), and Spider (self-explanatory). King Orange battles them, with TSC and the Warden being freed by Endie. After a tough fight where both sides get a few good hits, Red takes hold of the sceptre and puts a netherite block on it, hitting King Orange and blasting him away in the distance. As Red and TSC reunite, the Warden hears something, causing the rest of the gang to look behind them; King Orange is floating in the air, with both of the Game Icons.
The Raid[]
King Orange is the main antagonist.
Continuing off the events of the previous episode, King Orange creates a gigantic axe with one MGI and creates dark, shadowy clones of the Warden, Endie, Skellington and Spider. The evil copies prove themselves to be equally strong as the originals, but are defeated in one-hit by Red with the netherite-powered sceptre. King Orange locks everyone but Red and Endie out of the battle with the gigantic axe and creates more evil versions of the mobs that overpower his enemies, allowing him to get back the sceptre from Red. However, right after that, he's thrown into the air by a Titan Ravager - Turns out that when he was killing Titan Ravagers in their titular episode, there was one more member of the species that wasn't noticed by King Orange and ran away after seeing its family slaughtered. Yellow and Blue have befriended the Titan Ravager with promise of revenge. To make the situation better for the heroes and worse for the king, Yellow has been given a staff of his own by the Villagers he and Blue rescued earlier in the episode, and he put King's command block on it.
King Orange creates more Dark Mobs to distract Red, TSC, the Warden and the Monster Trio while he battles Yellow, Blue and the Titan Ravager - He needs to create a dark version of the creature to stand a chance against it, as well as create more gigantic weapons (during which he shoots and kills his own minion, either by accident or on purpose). As the king creates more Dark Mobs (refusing to do so to the stick figures for unknown reasons; it's possible he simply can't), he's eventually cornered when Blue starts shooting firework rockets at King Orange while he's pushed against his own giant netherite shield, before Red slams him in the back of his head with the netherite-powered sceptre. This is the final straw that makes the king stop playing around and get serious.
The king uses the power of the Game Icons to choke Red and take the sceptre back - When Yellow starts holding him in the air (just like the king did with Green in his introductory episode), he tricks Yellow into holding Red instead, before creating dozens of Dark Mobs to distract his enemies. While everyone is busy fighting, he destroys the netherite block placed on his sceptre, merges the two Game Icons into one Double Game Icon, puts the new block on the sceptre and creates a second, gigantic black hole.
Note Block Universe[]
King Orange is the overarching antagonist.
When Purple explains his motives and backstory to Green, he shows how King Orange offered him a chance to become powerful, only for it to turn out he's been lying all along. After being comforted by Green, he decides to redeem himself by defeating the monarch. Using an elytra, the two fly straight into the Nether to confront him. Right as the king finished creating his new black hole, Purple arrives him and socks him in the face before grabbing his sceptre as he falls, to the shock and surprise of the other stick figures.
The King[]
King Orange is the titular main antagonist/one of the three main protagonists (alongside the Second Coming and Purple).
After the episode is done showcasing his backstory, it cuts back to the present; King Orange landed right in the middle of the battlefield. Purple then destroys the majority of the Dark Mobs. King tries his hardest to get the sceptre back, but is finally cornered. While Purple can't find a way to destroy the black hole, King Orange notices Yellow has a command block staff while the stick tries to stop the Titan Ravager from crushing the king. He uses the opportunity to take hold of it and fights the heroes once again, putting up a much better fight than before. After giving Purple the Slowness and Weakness status effects, he punches him straight into the ground and gets his sceptre back. He creates a giant Dark Mob hybrid and warps reality to an even bigger degree.
During the fight, Skellington is thrown into the air, but is caught by Herobrine. He's ordered to go back home, but the skeleton points out how Endie and Spider are in danger. Not willing to let his students die, Herobrine challenges King Orange to a fight, where he shows he can rival the power of the Double Game Icon, and arguably almost outmatch it. However, during the fight, King Orange absorbs one of the Steve clones Herobrine spawned, something that caused him to take a few steps back from shock. King Orange almost sucks Herobrine into the sceptre, but at the last second, he manages to possess Red. He spawns a gigantic obsidian stick figure and begins to fight back. The Titan Ravager, being ridden by Yellow, Blue and Skellington, is absorbed into the sceptre. Skellington soon follows, much to Endie and Spider's shock. The Herobrine-possessed Red fights back in anger, but despite his efforts, the mob is sucked into the sceptre while the stick figure is saved by Purple.
Green and Spider attack the king, but while Endie manages to save Green at the last second, Spider is sucked in. The fight continues, and both Endie and the Warden are sucked in, leaving only the stick figures. King Orange expands his black hole even further, with its reach growing beyond the Nether once it gets close enough to the Nether portals. Despite all hope being lost, the Stick Gang plus Purple refuse to give up. They fight even harder, and even get temporarily get blasted by the sceptre, but instead of being sucked, only get thrown away, although glitching. They continue fighting regardless, until everyone but Purple is left too weak to keep fighting. The only one with enough strength left keeps on fighting despite Green trying to convince him that all is lost. However, as King Orange looks at Purple slowly walking towards him while losing himself to the glitches, he realises that Gold died a similar way, and that the two were very similar in behavior. As Purple is finally blown away, seemingly left to evaporate from existence, King Orange drops his sceptre and runs after him. He ultimately jumps into the sceptre's blast and is disintegrated himself, all while reminding himself of all the times he mistreated Purple.
While the Stick Gang tries their hardest to undo King Orange's mistakes, he himself finds himself in an afterlife-like void. Walking into a recreation of his own house, he finds that the place is somewhat alive and an animated wall drawing shows him an animation that represents how, in his quest to avenge Gold following his death, he started hurting innocent people who had nothing to do with it and lost his one chance at moving from his death by betraying Purple. Realising what he's done, King Orange feels remorse for his actions and begins smashing the wall until he finally destroys it. In a black void, he finds a heartbroken Purple, who himself has lost his father through abandonment. He runs to him and then hugs him.
At the same time, the Second Coming manages to save everything, with the entirety of Minecraft, who has been completely sucked into King Orange's void, being brought back into existence by the Double Game Icon. The Warden, the Yellow Team, Herobrine, the Titan Ravager, the Fighting Stick Figures and even their long-lost pig are resurrected, with Purple and King Orange being revived just seconds before the DGI separates into two normal Game Icons. King Orange apologizes for his actions by first bowing down to the Second Coming before resurrecting the Titan Ravager's family using the command block. Purple and King Orange say their goodbyes to the Stick Gang one final time before leaving, with a post-credit scene showing the two on the playground that the king and his son once played on, having become a surrogate family.
Actual Shorts[]
Ice Skating[]
King Orange is one of the two main protagonists (alongside Purple).
In this short Holiday video, King and Purple are seen ice skating and enjoying cookies.
Fireworks[]
King Orange is briefly referenced with a firework in the shape of his face.
King Orange vs. The Dark Lord[]
"King Orange" is one of the two titular main protagonists.
Seeing something crash in the Nether, King Orange - with his crown and Double Game Icon-powered sceptre - goes to investigate. It turns out this was none other than The Dark Lord himself, the series' secondary antagonist and fellow omnicidal maniac. He uses his wristband to create a spike and prepares to fight him. The king responds by attacking him with obsidian. While his opponent's powers easily destroy any of his attacks, King Orange still proves himself to be no pushover and manages to get a few good hits in. He ultimately decides to destroy him with a blast out of his sceptre (the same one he killed Purple with), but the Dark Lord shrugs it off and starts flying towards the king. Just as they're about to reach each other, a gigantic pig with Herobrine's glowing eyes and several angel wings appears before them and decimates them in one shot.
The scene then cuts to reality, which shows that Yellow and Green were playing pretend with figurines of their opponents, and that the giant god-pig is just Red's normal pig. Green ragequits, throws the Dark Lord toy on the ground and leaves.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Extreme durability - King Orange's most important power (other than the sceptre), and arguably one of the main reasons why he got as far as he did, is how he can tank practically anything and recover almost immediately. He survives two very huge falls without any injuries (although the first one left him knocked out for several minutes), can take a beating from the Warden (who can kill players in netherite armor with just two hits), recovers near immediately after being blasted into the air by his netherite-powered sceptre, gets hit by several fireworks, gets punched in the back of his neck by the netherite-powered sceptre and survives many assaults from Herobrine, who is strong enough to break bedrock, but walks it all of without a single scratch, ready to continue fighting mere seconds afterwards.
- It also helps that it's heavily implied his durability gets even higher when he gets more powerful. During "The King", where he was at his strongest, he took a hit from the Warden to the back and barely even flinched, despite that sending him flying just a few episodes earlier.
- High-level intelligence - King Orange is shown to be highly gifted and has an impressive levels of intellect, which rivals and possibly surpasses that of Yellow and/or the Dark Lord. This is demonstrated in "The King", where after being heavily affected and motivated by the loss of Gold, he started thoroughly studying nearly everything about Minecraft, physics, engineering, and possibly mathematics. He is shown to quickly grasp and apply intricate concepts and formulas of physics, and singlehandedly built his own sceptre capable of siphoning any block's powers as well as system and machines that can teleport him to the Nether under his basement. He's also a skilled planner and strategist, which is shown in "Parkour" where he schemes on trapping the Stick Gang as well as studies nearly everything about their background to complete his plan. He is also a quick learner, which allows him to use every tool proficiently and holds himself very well against the Stick Gang and their allies, despite how powerful they are, and basically achieved his will of destroying Minecraft, even if it was later reversed.
- Leadership - He's the leader of a Piglin Brute army that's in the dozens, and has Purple as his right hand man. After "The Ultimate Weapon", he loses this ability as Purple abandons him while his Piglin Brutes are wiped out.
- Knowledge of command blocks - He's shown to perfectly execute commands when the command block is equipped on his sceptre.
- Charisma and manipulation - King Orange was able to make Purple join his side under the false promise of his father, as well as trick the villagers by pretending to be a hero. He was also able to temporarily trick Yellow and Blue into joining him.
- Basic fighting skills - While no martial artist like the other stick figures, King Orange still knows how to fight, although mostly relying on brute force more than anything.
- Intimidation - He easily strikes fear into both Piglin Brutes as well as Purple himself.
- With the Game Icons:
- Flight - King Orange is regularly seen flying when he has a Game Icon with him.
- Omnipotence - As long as its within the limitations of Minecraft, King Orange can do basically anything he wants. This omnipotence grows the more power he gets, as with a Double Game Icon-equipped sceptre he is pretty much untouchable.
- Omnificence - With a Game Icon, King Orange can create anything he wants, from mobs to blocks to thunder. He also has that with a command block, but to a much lesser extent.
- Block manipulation - On top of creating any block he wants, King Orange is also able to manipulate blocks into being shaped like weapons, using that to create giant swords and bows when fighting the Titan Ravager and Herobrine.
- Telekinesis - Due to the way he manipulates blocks, this is a given.
- Creating Dark Mobs - When his sceptre corrupts a Game Icon, he's able to use it to create evil doppelgangers of various Minecraft mobs, as well as hybrids of them.
- Superhuman strength and speed - King Orange is already strong and fast while normal, but with the Game Icons he reaches superhuman levels that make him much more powerful.
The Sceptre[]
His signature item and other most powerful weapon (other than his durability) is his trusted sceptre, which extracts the energy from whatever block is placed on it, enhancing the staff and giving it supernatural power.
- Corruption - As seen with the Game Icon, the sceptre can corrupt blocks, as the block started glowing black while it glowed white beforehand.
- Power extraction - The sceptre takes power from whatever block is placed on it and extracts it, making both the sceptre and the wielder more powerful in the process.
So far, the blocks placed on the sceptre are:
- Command Block - Makes the user able to execute commands within seconds with no problem, without the need to type them, essentially making them omnificent.
- Minecraft Game Icon - Gives the power to blast beams and black holes, as well as amplifies the Game Icon's original abilities, such as its omnipotence or block manipulation.
- Gold Block - Gives the user above-average strength, enough to go toe-to-toe with a Warden.
- Netherite Block - Extreme strength, able to blast people in the air, one-shot Dark Mobs and destroy netherite blocks.
- Double Game Icon - The block that appears when two Game Icons are merged together can create even bigger black holes, Dark Mob hybrids and thunder, as well as absorb mobs into the sceptre.
Trivia[]
- King Orange and Dark Blue (and possibly Pink) are the tallest stick figures in the series. Given that other characters are around the same size or smaller, they are also some of the tallest characters in the entire series.
- Coincidentally or not, those three are the only stick figures confirmed to be adults. Purple's age is unknown but is implied to be somewhere on the younger side, more specifically a teenager, given his similar behavior to Gold but also having enough skills to make it clear he's not kid. The Stick Gang is heavily implied to also be teenagers given how they're Purple's size, can be childish, and Red even attended a school at one point. The Chosen One and the Dark Lord act very mature, but nothing indicates if they're actually adults.
- King Orange was originally meant to be grey or light purple before Alan chose the color he has now. Grey was dropped because he blended with the background and light purple was dropped to avoid any Thanos jokes.
- Despite his official name being King Orange, fans have decided to call him Mango Tango, or simply Mango, to separate him from the Second Coming, who already has Orange as his fan-nickname. This nickname comes from a hex color website.
- It's possible that King Orange is Herobrine after being resurrected with the game, and wishes to obtain the Minecraft icon once again to revert to his true form and gain back his power. It would also explain King Orange's knowledge of the events of Animation vs. Minecraft, including how the Minecraft icon operates and also Herobrine's existence and his actions when possessing Red.
- However, with the release of the "Monster School" episode, this theory is now debunked, as Herobrine is shown to be a teacher at the school and a completely separate entity from King Orange with no known connections.
- This was shown even further in the Season 3 finale, where Herobrine and King Orange are on opposing sides and fight each other.
- Series creator Alan Becker and his friend DJ suggested that King Orange might "have a heart after all", given that he could easily kill his enemies with his sceptre and the powers he holds, but chooses not to. This was proven when he managed to redeem himself after Purple reminded him of his own son.
- King Orange has shown himself to be extremely durable given that he was hit by a Warden (who can kill players in netherite armor in two hits) several times and came out perfectly fine. This is shown once again once he's blasted away by a netherite-powered sceptre, giving it insane super strength, only to come back fine and well just seconds later. This is especially surprising given that, without the Game Icon, he possesses zero known supernatural abilities.
- As mentioned above, the fact that there is another orange stick figure that already got the fan-nickname of Orange (a nickname which was eventually canonized by Alan Becker) led to several debates about how this orange stick figure should be named. Usually, he's referred to King Orange (which eventually became his canon name), Orange Giant/Giant Orange (the name given to him by DJ, a friend of Alan's), Basic Orange (another nickname given by DJ, referring to his "basic", full-headed design that is given to any stick figure not created by the Animator), Dark Orange, or Evil Orange (the same way the Dark Lord is sometimes called "Evil Red"). Some people just started calling him colors other than orange, such as the aforementioned Mango Tango/Mango, King Gold, King Bronze or King Brown.
- His true name was revealed when Yellow used the command block on him during "The Raid", and it is simply "King". That said, he will still be referred to as King Orange as this is another canonized nickname.
- Interestingly enough, he doesn't become a king until very late into his life, only after Animation vs. League of Legends. Despite this, there is nothing indicating King isn't his real name.
- He was also called "The Orange King" during one of the videos on the Alan Becker Clips channel, a side channel on YouTube that, as the name says, posts short clips of the AVA episodes. Another video also referred to him as simply Orange.
- His true name was revealed when Yellow used the command block on him during "The Raid", and it is simply "King". That said, he will still be referred to as King Orange as this is another canonized nickname.
- It is unknown how long Purple and King Orange knew each other. It's possible they were partners before Season 1 of the AvM Shorts, that they met somewhere between that Animation vs. League of Legends, or that they met after it. Depending on which is true, it could make King Orange the unseen overarching antagonist of Season 1 (and therefore, the main antagonist of AvM Shorts as a whole) and/or Animation vs. League of Legends.
- "Note Block Universe" implies they met somewhere after Animation vs. League of Legends, given how King Orange is seen only after Purple's Villagers and the Stick Gang.
- It's then confirmed in "The King" that they met somewhere after Animation vs. League of Legends, as Piglin Brutes, who were created in 2020, were already a thing by the time they met. That said, it's still unknown when his son died: The poster for the Minecraft Simulation says "12 new major updates, new mobs and biomes" are "coming soon", despite Netherite and Piglin Brutes already being on the Minecraft Wiki by the time he decides to destroy the entire game. It's possible Gold died somewhere in the early 2010's and King Orange spend several years mourning before deciding to avenge him.
- During the "Previously on AvM Shorts" segment of "Lush Caves", there is a blooper that accidentally shows the prototype design of King Orange's sceptre, rather than the final version. It's much more simple, and made of netherite, meaning it was made using resources from Minecraft. We don't know if the final version of the sceptre is also made of netherite or if it comes from Minecraft at all.
- It was later confirmed King Orange crafted the sceptre himself, without using Minecraft.
- It was speculated by fans that King Orange is actually Dark Blue, Purple's abusive father who managed to change his color under unknown circumstances. This is because the two are heavily associated in "Note Block Universe", both are taller than Purple (and by extension the entire cast; in fact, they're the same height), and it would explain why Purple is so loyal to King "Orange"; assuming he knows he's his father.
- Ultimately, the Season 3 finale manages to connect the two even more (at one point outright showing King Orange glitching into Dark Blue) while also making it clear they aren't the same person. King Orange had his son die in front of him without being shown to have a spouse while Dark Blue abandoned the still-alive Purple and left him and his wife alone, not to mention that they all have different colors. King Orange and Dark Blue glitching into each other most likely represents how the former essentially became Purple's surrogate father after he was abandoned by the latter, the same way Purple glitching into Gold represented him becoming the king's surrogate son.
- It's unknown if King Orange had devised a plan for him to escape the Minecraft world before it evaporated. While it's possible he would be willing to die with the game due to the despair he felt at his son's death, nothing was confirmed.
- King Orange's son was never given a proper name in-universe. However, it was decided on Discord that his name is Gold. Despite this, a short clip on the aforementioned Alan Becker Clips channel referred to him as Yellow. For simplicity's sake and due to there already being a stick figure called Yellow, this wiki will continue referring to as King Orange's son as Gold.
