Johness is a minor antagonist in Hunter X Hunter and an infamous mass murderer, and a prisoner and one of the applicants on the Path of Majority Rules, during the Phases Three of the 287th Hunter Exam.
Appearance[]
Johness in 1999 anime, he is very muscular with a mustache and brown hair and an intimidating look. However, his appearance changed a little, when it was in the current version of 2011, that he got a little stronger than he already was, he also changed the color of his hair and mustache to blond and blue eyes.
Personality[]
Among all the Exam's four criminals, literally Johness is the most cruel, brutal, sadistic and merciless. He is a cruel psychopath who feels no remorso for his crimes, and is willing to kill anyone just to kill his boredom in his time in prison.
Powers and Abilities[]
No apparent ability was noted in Johness other than having a superhuman strenght capable of ripping skin off a human being without any difficult.

Background[]
Johness was a mass murderer, who was captured in Zaban City by the police. It was also discovered that Johness killed 146 people using his own hands to commit the act, it was also discovered that the cadavers of each of his victims in which he divided them into 50 pieces each. He also pierced the heart of an 11-year-old child alive. After being arrested Johness obviously did not regret the cruel crimes and was sentenced to a life sentenced of 968 years in prison.
Plot[]
During the Phases Three of the 287th Hunter Exam. He along with four others criminals must defeat Gon and his team in the Path of Majority Rules. Although Johness is not interested in reducing his prison sentence, and more is chaos. He is the last of the criminals who will face the heroes. He then faces off against Killua, who says he ripped out the heart 11-year-old child. However ironically he is soon killed in the same way that he killed the child, having his heart ripped out by Killua.
