Henry Mesner was the main antagonist in the Law & Order: SVU episodes "Born Psychopath" and "Post-Graduate Psychopath".

History[]

In 2013, Henry started to abuse his sister, Ruby Mesner, physically which resulted in her coming to school with bruises. He later tries to frame his nanny, Irina, for her abuse. However, Detective Benson started to suspect Henry while questioning his parents, Viola and Tom Mesner. Later in the episode, Henry cuts Viola with a knife and sends her to hospital. Henry, showing no remorse for what he did, claimed that it was all his mother's fault. The SVU tried to convince his parents that Henry should get help but they refused. Henry later tried to kill his sister by lighting the apartment on fire and trapping her, tied up, inside a room. He later held his neighbour hostage after killing his friend's dog, Snowball, and stealing his friend's father's gun. He then released his infant neighbour with Benson and held Amaro hostage before shooting him in the stomach. Fortunately, he survived the shooting. Henry was then sentenced to a juvenile facility for the crimes he committed, until his 18th birthday.

In 2016, his mother, Viola Mesner, was unfortunately killed in a car crash, 3 years after Henry was institutionalised.

In 2021, eight years later, Henry Mesner is released from the juvenile facility after his 18th birthday and convinced the judge that he has changed and noticed that his behaviour eight years ago was not acceptable. After being released, he raped, tortured and attempted to murder Libby Blandon, the psychiatrist Margaret Blandon's daughter. After killing Tom, his stepmother Holly and his stepbrother Arlo, Henry kidnapped and held his younger sister, Ruby, hostage. Fortunately, she was rescued by Rollins. Rollins told Henry that she was worried about him 8 years ago when he tried to kill his sister and shot Amaro, which resulted in Mesner letting her go, However, Rollins discovered that Henry had been stalking her and her family by taking pictures of them on his phone. Henry was later examined by Dr. Peter Lindstrom who recommended Henry should be institutionalised for the rest of his life, stating that he was an extremely dangerous human being. At trial, Carisi told Judge Wright that Henry should stand trial and she agreed. Henry went rogue in the courtroom and stabbed Carisi with a pencil. Henry was then sentenced to a mental facility where he was confronted by Rollins who threatened to kill him if she came near anyone she loved when they release him.
