Groundpounder

Groundpounder (also known as the "Beast from Kaon", the "Pulverizer of the Pits" and the "Pounder of Ground") is a major antagonist in Transformers: Robots in Disguise. He resembles an Earth gorilla, he used to be Cybertron's greatest gladiator.

History

When Groundpounder competed in Cybertron's gladiatorial arena during a major match, he and his manager, Headlock, were charged with fraud and suspended, and when he destroyed the arena and rampaged across Cybertron, he and Headlock were captured and sent to the Alchemor. But when Alchemor was plunged into Earth by Megatronus, he and Headlock have been doing nothing but hiding, and while hiding, he also had to train. And when he and Headlock saw an ad for the Crown City demo derby, and the Mechanosaurus, he mistook the Mechanosaurus for a Dinobot and went with Headlock to the Rumbledome to fight. And when the fight against the Mechanosaurus started, he realized that the Mechanosaurus wasn't the Dinobot, and he and Headlock started cheating to win the fight, and with that, he won. And after the win, he and Headlock were offered a spot on the regular show. And when Grimlock and the Fixit came with Russell and Denny to the Rumbledome to defeat them, they also tried during their match to cheat again to win, but they failed and they lost the fight, after which they were taken to the Junkyard in stasis. But later Steeljaw freed him, Bisk, Quillfire, Overload, Clampdown, Thunderhoof and Springload and took them to a Decepticon island. And when Team Bee arrived on Decepticon Island with the Stasis Bomb, they used it and managed to put him and the other Decepticons on the island into stasis, after which he and his fellow inmates were sent to prison on Cybertron.
