Quote
Godzilla is the Son of the Atomic Bomb. He is a nightmare created out of the darkness of the human soul. He is the Sacred Beast of the Apocalypse.
~ Tomoyuki Tanaka on Godzilla

Godzilla, also known as Gojira, is the titular main character of the long-running Godzilla franchise and was a prehistoric creature that was mutated by nuclear radiation.

Origin[]

Godzilla was awakened by nuclear testing in 1954, and rampaged though many cities, usually in Japan.

History[]

Godzilla[]

To be added.

Godzilla Raids Again[]

Less than a year after the first Godzilla's demise, a second one was spotted by two pilots on the remote Iwato Island battling Anguirus before both monsters tumbled into the ocean and vanished.

Godzilla later reappeared in Osaka Bay where the JSDF used flares in an attempt to lure Godzilla back out at sea, this failed however when a car, stolen by a group of convicts escaped from prison transport in the city, struck a resulting in an explosion that produced a raging fire which lured Godzilla and Anguirus into the city. After a long fight that reduced the whole city of Osaka into rubble and ruins, Godzilla gained the upper hand and bites down on Anguirus' neck before throwing him into a moat below and setting him ablaze with his atomic blast. With his opponent defeated, Godzilla heads back out at sea.

Godzilla was later seen on an icy Island where he gets buried and frozen by JSDF.

King Kong vs Godzilla[]

To be added.

Mothra vs Godzilla[]

Godzilla was washed ashore and buried underground by a vicious typhoon that struck the coast of Japan. Godzilla eventually emerged and begin attacking the nearby city of Nagoya.

Ghidorah, The Three Headed Monster[]

After destroying a cruise ship with his atomic blast, Godzilla came ashore in a city, where he spotted Rodan, who had escaped from the crater of Mount Aso. Godzila and Rodan then battled with each other at Mount Fuji. Their fight was eventually interrupted by Mothra, who tried to persuade the monsters into working together against King Ghidorah, who is attacking Earth. Refusing to help, Mothra tried to stop King Ghidorah on her own, but was brutally overwhelmed. Inspired by the larve's courage, Godzilla and Rodan entered the battle against King Ghidorah. Together, the three monsters were able to easily overpower King Ghidorah and force it to retreat back to space.

Destroy All Monsters[]

By the end of the 20th century, Godzila and all of Earth's other monsters were living together on the human-monitored Monster Island, located in the Ogasawara Islands. The monsters were eventually taken control by the Kilaaks, and then removed from the Island where they begin to go on a rampage around the world.

Once the monsters were eventually broken free of their control, They later appeared on Mt. Fuji to attack their base, with Godzilla leading them. The Kilaaks send King Ghidorah to battle against the monsters of Earth, but it was eventually overpowered and killed, before Godzilla proceeds to destroy their base while the Moonlight SY-3 takes out the Fire Dragon, the Kilaaks' last secret weapon.

Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla[]

In 1974" Godzilla appears out of Mt Fuji or what appears to be Godzilla is uncharacteristically is fighting Anguirus try's to stop Godzilla" in the process Anguirus reveals that there is metal under " Godzilla's" skin. Then "Godzilla quickly overpowered Anguirus and breaks his jaw. Later " Godzilla" rampage again but then the real Godzilla comes out of the factory reading that the other Godzilla was Mechagodzilla after the two duelled the black hole planet 3 aliens send back Mechagodzilla for repairs. After Mechagodzilla is repaired he send to battle Godzilla but with a help from King Caesar and his new found magnetic abilities, Both King Caesar and Godzilla easily overpower and defeat the bionic double.

The Return of Godzilla[]

Godzilla was awakened by a volcanic eruption at Daikoku Island, and has destroyed the Japanese fishing vessel Yahata-Maru.

Godzilla later emerged from the sea and began to approach Tokyo Bay. The JSDF attempted to fend off against the monster, but failed, and Godzilla then began to rampage across the city. The Super X was sent to combat against Godzilla, and after Super X uses flares to distract Godzilla and also fired cadmium shells down his throat as he roared, Godzilla's heart had stopped and the monster ended up collapsing against a skyscraper.

Godzilla was eventually reawakened after radiation showered down onto the monster when two nuclear missiles collided in outer space. The Super X once again tried to stop Godzilla again, only to this time fail. However, Godzilla was eventually lured away from Tokyo all the way to Mount. Mihara, thanks to a magnetic wave transmitter, where the monster was imprisoned into the mouth of the volcano.

Godzilla vs Biollante[]

After five years of being imprisoned inside Mount Mihara, Godzilla eventually came out of the volcano, and made his way towards Lake Ashi. The JSDF and Super X were deployed to combat the monster, but they all failed. Eventually, Godzilla arrives and faces off against Biollante, a creature spliced with his cells and a rose's, making the panick and begins to attack him, causing the two monsters to fight. Godzilla quickly overpowers Biollante by blasting at her hemorrhage and emerged victorious, causing it to erupt in flames. Biollante broke apart into spores of energy and floated in space, while Godzilla returned to the sea.

Godzilla later appeared in Osaka, and began to rampage across the city, the Super X ll was deployed to distract Godzilla, and Godzilla eventually destroys it. Godzilla was injected with the Anti-Nuclear Energy Bacteria rockets, fired by Gondo, and Godzilla approached the building where Gondo was, with Gondo firing a rocket straight into his mouth and mocking him. Enraged, Godzilla destroyed the building, killing Gondo in the process.

Godzilla later arrives at Wakasa Bay, where he is assaulted by Maser Cannons and artificial lightning which raises his temperature, causing him to become weakened. Just then, Biollante's spores poured down from the sky and traveled underground.

Godzilla vs King Ghidorah[]

Godzilla encountered a nuclear submarine, which was sent to mutated the Godzillasaurus back into Godzilla to stop the Futurians and King Ghidorah while not knowing Godzilla was not erased from existence, and began to feed on it, curing his ANEB infection and causing him to grow 20 meters taller in height before eventually coming ashore in Hokkaido.

King Ghidorah was sent to kill Godzilla by the Futurians, and the two monsters began to fight. At first, King Ghidorah manage to overpower Godzilla until Terasawa, Emmy and the reprogrammed M11 engaged an assault on MOTHER, destroying the computer that controls King Ghidorah, allowing Godzilla to gain the upper hand, eventually defeated King Ghidorah by severing his middle head with his blue spiral ray and blasted out his wings when he tried to retreat, plummeting him into the ocean.

After defeating King Ghidorah, Godzilla begins to wreak havoc throughout Japan.

Godzilla vs Mothra[]

To be added.

Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2[]

Godzilla appeared near Adonoa Island, where a group of Japanese scientists had discovered an infant prehistoric egg and where under attack by Rodan. Godzilla came ashore on the island and battled Rodan, buying time for the scientists to escape with the egg. Godzilla eventually overpowers Rodan and defeats him by firing his atomic blast at him, leaving him seemingly dead. Godzilla then begins to follow the scientists and the egg back to Japan.

Godzilla eventually came ashore on the coast of Japan and began heading to Kyoto, intact on finding and recovering the egg, which had already hatched into Baby Godzilla. G-Force then deploys MechaGodzilla to combat against Godzilla. When MechaGodzilla uses it's shock anchors to electrocute Godzilla, Godzilla eventually reverses the electrical current, causing MechaGodzilla to short-circuit and fall, and Godzilla then continues his path towards Kyoto.

Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla[]

Godzilla had taken up partial residence on the remote Birth Island, where his adopted son, now grown in height and named Little Godzilla, spent all of his times. When SpaceGodzilla, an extraterrestrial clone of Godzilla, makes landing and attacks Little Godzilla, Godzilla battles against his enemy, but is easily overpowered and Little Godzilla gets imprisoned in crystal.

Enraged and determined to free his adopted son, Godzilla eventually chases after SpaceGodzilla, eventually reaching SpaceGodzilla at a crystal fortress in Fukuoka. SpaceGodzilla once again overpowers Godzilla, but Godzilla eventually realizes that SpaceGodzilla draws his powers from the crystals spires he had replaced all over the city as well as the Fukuoka Tower, which SpaceGodzilla had instilled with cosmic energy. With the help of M.O.G.U.E.R.A., Godzilla eventually destroys the Fukuoka Tower, reducing SpaceGodzilla's energy and allowing Godzilla to gain the upper hand in a fight. Godzilla eventually destroys both SpaceGodzilla and M.O.G.U.E.R.A. with his red spiral ray and heads back to Birth Island.

Godzilla vs Destoroyah[]

A nuclear reaction in Godzilla's heart ignited uranium deposits on Birth Island, causing the island, along with Godzilla and his adopted son, to disappear in a fiery explosion.

Godzilla, now transformed into Burning Godzilla, emerges from the water near Hong Kong, and begins rampaging across.

It is later revealed that the Birth Island explosion had caused Godzilla to absorb a substantial amount of radiation, causing the nuclear fission in his heart to go out of control, and that if Godzilla continued to increase in power, he would explode, igniting the atmosphere and destroying the Earth.

Godzilla then appeared in the Bungo Channel and began approaching the lkate Nuclear Power Plant. The Super X3 was then deployed to stop Godzilla from reaching the nuclear plant, and the monster eventually stopped frozen by Super X3's freezer weapons. Godzilla eventually thawed out, but the fission in his heart appeared to be reducing. Although Godzilla's fission has now been brought under control, it is now revealed that his unclear reactor was now overheating, and Godzilla will eventually go nuclear meltdown, which will cause him to burn into the Earth's core and destroy the planet.

Godzilla then reappears near the Haneda Airport where he reunites with his adopted son,

Godzilla Final Wars[]

Sometime in the 1960s, the EDF lured Godzilla to Antarctica where he gets buried and frozen by the Gotengo.

When the Xiliens unleash monsters around the world, the Gotengo was sent out to free Godzilla, when it was believed that Godzilla is the only force capable of defeating the Xiliens monster army. Godzilla was freed until Gigan arrives and attacks him but Godzilla easily defeats it. Godzilla then follows the Gotengo believing his battle with the Gotengo was still going on, and it leads him to fight and defeat all the Xiliens monster that were send by Xiliens to fight Godzilla but one by one they were all quickly overpowered and easily defeated. Godzilla eventually ends up at Tokyo. When Godzilla sees the Gorath asteroid that was send earlier by Controller X, he attempts to destroy it using his atomic blast which caused an explosion that reduced the city to a crater. As Godzilla stands in the ruins of Tokyo, Monster X, the monster that was inside the Gorath asteroid, descended to the ground behind him as he turns to face it, both monsters face off and engaged in a battle with each other, but it turns out Monster X was more then a match for Godzilla, capable of fighting with incredible speed and ferocity and it overpowers Godzilla. Mothra then appears to assist Godzilla, only to be confronted and overpowered by a newly repaired Gigan. Mothra eventually defeats Gigan and returns to Infant Island, and Godzilla eventually gains the upper hand against Monster X.

After the Xilien Mothership self-destructed, Godzilla and Monster X get locked into a beam battle, which resulted in an explosion knocking both monsters opposite sides of the city. Godzilla eventually gets back to his feet as Monster X then transforms into Kaiser Ghidorah, and begins to overpower Godzilla and then proceed to drain his energy, only to be overwhelmed when Ozaki used the Gotengo's Maser Cannon to fire his Keizer energy into Godzilla's back to empower him. Godzilla eventually fights back and easily gains the upper hand against his foe and finally defeats Kaiser Ghidorah with his spiral heat ray, destroying him for good.

Afterwards, he shoots the Gotengo with his atomic blast, causing the ship to crash. Before Godzilla could kill the EDF's remaining forces, Minilla steps in and stops his father from making any more attacks. Godzilla finally forgave the humanity and turned around and walked out to sea, with Minilla following him.

Appearance[]

Godzilla's appearance has changed between films over the years, but many defining details have endured. In the Japanese films, Godzilla is depicted as a gigantic dinosaur with rough, bumpy, usally charcoal gray scales, a long powerful tail, and generally bone-white dorsal plates, generally shaped like maple leaves, thought there are some designs whose traits may differ. His origins vary somewhat from film to film, but he is almost described as a prehistoric creature, and his first attacks on Japan are linked to the beginning of the Atomic Age. In particular, mutation due to atomic radiation is presented as an explanation for his great size and strange powers. Godzilla's iconic design is composed of a mixture of various species of dinosaurs; specifically, he has the body and overall shape of an old model of a Tyrannosarus Rex, the long arms of an Iguanodon, and the dorsal plates of a Stegosarus.

Personality[]

Godzilla is usually seen as a destructive creature, having destroyed many cities. However, Godzilla is also seen as tragic being.
