Galvatron II, came from a timeline where Unicron devoured Cybertron, and Galvatron was the ruler of Earth. After being pulled into the 20th century, Galvatron II became more deranged over time, and was a major antagonist of Marvel's the Transformers comics.

Backstory[]
As revealed in A Savage Circle, in 2005, Megatron was critically wounded battling Optimus Prime and was cast into space by Starscream. His mind still functioned, but barely. Wracked by madness, he welcomed oblivion, but Unicron found him. Desiring a flawless servant, Unicron re-created Megatron into the cold and clinical Galvatron. But the remnants of Megatron's insanity remained, eating away at Galvatron's mind.
