~ Ethan Zilgo about Fletcher. |
Ethan Zilgo is a character from the LEGO Nexo Knights series, appearing in the spin-off book The Forbidden Power. He is a Knights' Academy freshman from a wealthy background who is very prideful of his status and looks down on commoners, which puts him at odds with the book's protagonist Fletcher Bowman.
Biography[]
The Forbidden Power[]
Ethan Zilgo and his friend Beak stood in the field next to the Knights' Academy when they met Fletcher Bowman, who just got startled by the sound of the Richmond carriage horn. Having asked Bowman a few questions, he came to resent the boy for his ignorance and wondered why he even came to study at the Academy if he knew so little about the kingdom's knights. When Lance Richmond's sister Isabella came by and took a bigger interest in Fletcher than in him, he an Beak grew even more surprized.
Later Ethan paired up with Beak on a field quest for the first-graders where their job was to find Ned Knightly's Silver Sword of Silverness. He tried to get a hint from the school cafeteria's chef by bribing him, but learned very little from him. Eventually, he found the sword's location by following Fletcher and Izzy, and was the one to get it due to them ending up in the catacombs beneath the academy.
In the day the classes started, Ethan continued to mock Fletcher for his clumsiness and weakness, and chose him as a sparring partner solely to beat him up, only to get attacked by Izzy Richmond in return, with Captain Clash stopping the two kids' fight. He later apologized for his behaviour, which led to Clash pairing him and Fletcher for a battle in the Combatition, which was to take place the next day.
During the Combatition, Ethan continued to assault Fletcher who could barely fight back due to only having a bow. As he was about to win, a Forbidden Power got uploaded into Fletcher's shield, allowing him to defeat his tormentor, although this also led to a blackout at the academy.
When Baron von Bludgeonous revealed himself by raiding the academy and taking the Forbidden Power for himself, Fletcher and Izzy decided to arm themselves with Ned Knightly's sword before facing him. As Zilgo was admiring his prize at the moment, Fletcher asked him if he could take the sword, only to be rudely brushed off. Ethan was, however, scared by the arrival of Fletcher's Rogul and ran off. The final chapter of the book reveals that he still resented Fletcher and was determined to expose him as a "fraud".
