Countess Elizabeth Bathory was the main villainess from "Unholy Wedlock/Elizabeth," episode 3.15 of Fantasy Island. She was the titular main villainess from the "Elizabeth" storyline.
She was played by Tina Louise.
Elizabeth Bathory was the notorious "Blood Countess"; known for her obsession with obtaining her youth and beauty leading her to kill young virginal girls and bathe in their blood. In the episode, Elizabeth shared a past with Mr. Roarke, and she had been appearing in the recurring nightmare of a woman named Lisa Corday (also played by Louise), who arrived at the island to free herself of her nightmares.
Lisa stated to Roarke that in order to conquer her nightmare, she had to stay at an ancient castle, which Roarke revealed was the home of Elizabeth Bathory. Lisa was turning 30 in the episode's events, and once midnight arrived and she officially became 30 years of age, she suddenly made out with Roarke and asked if he was afraid, after which Lisa laughed maniacally and ran around the castle before Roarke caught her in a panic. As Roarke revealed, Elizabeth had possessed Lisa, and she was looking to use Lisa as a permanent vessel, as Lisa was Elizabeth's genetic duplicate. Lisa's body became vulnerable to Elizabeth's evil spirit once Lisa turned 30, but the villainess only had 24 hours to achieve her goal.
Lisa and Roarke's return to the castle saw the former shriek upon seeing Elizabeth's ghost rising from her bed, after which Elizabeth used her control over Lisa to lock Roarke inside the bedroom. The villainess came face-to-face with Lisa and manipulated her with claims that they were one in the same, with Lisa attempting to fight off Elizabeth. However, the evil Elizabeth entered Lisa's vessel once again, and after Roarke entered, the maniacal villainess cackled and taunted Roarke, while boasting over her success. Roarke reminded Elizabeth that she had to possess Lisa in the room she died in, and upon realizing that she wasn't in the particular room, she left Lisa's vessel.
The episode's climax saw Lisa and Roarke appear in the room where Elizabeth died, as she had minutes left to take over Lisa's body. At that moment, Elizabeth possessed Lisa again and told Roarke that she had achieved victory due to Roarke bringing Lisa to the room; however, Roarke informed Elizabeth that he had the room sanctified when he restored the castle, causing the villainess to lash out at Roarke. In response to Roarke bringing up Elizabeth's good memories, Elizabeth stated that she only remembered horror, blood, and dying at age 30, right before she was ejected out of Lisa's vessel. Lisa and Roarke ran out of the castle, dodging Elizabeth's rampage and last attempts to kill both of them. After the pair escaped, Elizabeth said her goodbye to Roarke, stating that she was free.
