Her Royal Duchess Diamond Persnickety, the First, Last, and Only or better known as Duchess is a supporting antagonist of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
She is a German speaking imaginary friend that resides at Foster's, waiting for a kid to adopt her. However, Duchess is very picky when it comes down to who wants to adopt her, only seeing what assets the family has for her instead of the love and attention she would get. She is also quick to anger and rather stubborn as she wants others to do things for her, even such trivial actions like trying to open her eyelids.
She is voiced by Grey DeLisle, who also voices Vicky from The Fairy Oddparents, The High Priestess from Samurai Jack, Mandy in both Grim & Evil and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Asajj Ventress in Star Wars: Clone Wars, ETC.
Personality[]
Duchess is snobby, vain, and often complains about everything. She often insults anyone who doesn't match her desired. Even when being adopted, Duchess ridicules any family that does not meet her expectations. Because of these traits, she is disliked by many residents of Fosters. Even when she does help someone, it is primarily out of her own benefit.
She also harnesses a deep hatred for Bloo, often mocking him or trying to get him into trouble whenever she gets the opportunity. This hatred is even homicidal as she had once teamed-up with Terrence by kidnapping and attempting to feed Bloo to an Extremesaur in the pilot episode of the series.
Appearance[]
Duchess is based off of the works by Picasso, taking many characteristics from some of his famous pieces.
She has bright yellow skin, a long neck, a trunk similar to an elephant, a black mole, red lips turned to the side, two eyes halfway closed, and a tail made up of thin lines with red and blue circles and triangles dangling off them.
She is often seen wearing a white dress covered in black right-triangles, a bracelet and a pearl necklace consisting of pearls and a red gem, a green and blue ring, green and blacked striped earrings, and leggings, and black high heels. She also has blue and purple eye-liner, and a white turban with a ruby in it.
Trivia[]
- Duchess appears in nineteen episodes, almost half of which are non-speaking cameos.
- She has the power to control the Extremesaurs as this was shown in "House of Bloo's".
