Biography[]
A bad tempered neighbor of the Rodmans, Hunsiker often spent his time living at home in San Francisco, taking care of his two sons and daughter when he wasn't working as an airlIne pilot.
He first clashed with the Rodmans when Caesar arrived to play with a bike in the shed, inadvertently scaring his daughter, Alice. As a result, he armed himself with a baseball bat and chased Caesar around the yard, causing the young chimp to cut his leg on some yard equipment. Before Hunsiker could pulverize Caesar, he was stopped by Will. Despite Charles' insistence that Caesar was harmless and merely wanted to play, Hunsiker warned the Rodmans not to let Caesar near his house or children again.
Five years later, Hunsiker aggressively accosted Charles, whose Alzheimer's retuned after five years of his 112 treatment over damage to his car. This provoked Caesar to attack Hunsiker in a misguided attempt to protect Charles, resulting in Caesar biting Hunsiker's right index finger off. After the incident, Caesar was deported to the San Bruno Primate Shelter.
Later, while Hunsiker was recuperating from his finger surgery, he confronted Robert Franklin, a teammate of Will who was attempting to warn Will after he contracted the ALZ-113, which is fatal to humans. However, Franklin inadvertently sneezed on Hunsiker, passing on the ALZ-113 virus to him. Agitated, Hunsiker demanded Franklin to leave.
After Caesar successfully lead an ape rebellion through San Francisco to the Muir Woods, Hunsiker proceeded to his job. Once he arrived at the airport, he noticed he nose was bleeding, but paid no attention to it before heading to the gate. While traveling to France, Hunsiker spread the virus to passengers on the plane with his sneezing, then flew to Africa, causing the virus to spreads across the globe via international flight routes, leading to a deadly pandemic that would become known as the Simian Flu. However, Hunsiker died before the pandemic began.
