Dead King Freddy is the secondary antagonist of POPGOES Arcade, serving as the main antagonist of POPGOES: The Dead Forest and a major antagonist of POPGOES and The Machinist.

He is the ruler of the North Forest, planning on killing all life in the four forests so he can reanimate them to grant them immortality. Following his defeat in the first chapter, his soul finds and possesses an old, severely damaged machine, becoming The Mangle.

Biography[]

Popgoes: The Dead Forest[]

Inspired by his father's research into achieving immortality, King Freddy concludes that to be undead is a far better "life" than being alive. Knowing the other animals of the forest wouldn't agree with his philosophy, he instead decided to "give them immortality" by force. Working with The Machinist to create laser pillars that would corrupt anyone near by into becoming violent, the king began his campaign by taking over the North Forest, causing it to become decayed while killing all of it's inhabitants, bringing them back as skeletons. The East, South, and West Forests are quickly corrupted with the lasers, while the North Forest is locked with a gate that can only be opened by obtaining the three other area's boss' keys.

Once Popgoes is able to destroy the lasers and enter the king's castle, Freddy confronts the weasel and explains the benefits he found in his undead state, and offers to show Popgoes himself by killing him. After his defeat, Freddy tells his opponent that he'll regret rejecting the king's offer when he dies. After King Freddy's second death, the animals congratulate Popgoes on his victory, then begin to repair the North Forest.

Popgoes and The Machinist[]

King Freddy's soul happens upon an old robot tangled in a pile of machinery and scrap, deciding to use it as his new body. When Popgoes finds The Mangle, the later is surprised to see him again, and explains that he's no longer apart of the physical plain before engaging the weasel in another battle. After his defeat, The Mangle is surprised by the new feeling overcoming him, wondering if Popgoes had finally managed to set his soul free. While pondering what would come next after dying thrice, The Mangle admits that he fears whatever the possibility may be, before dying for a third and final time.

Appearance[]

Dead King Freddy is a tall, dark gray bipedal bear skeleton with bright red eyes. He wears a red crown and cape, and wields a red scythe with a dark red handle. He takes on a living form while blocking, being hit, and after his defeat, in which his fur turns purple, gold, and brown respectively.

The Mangle is a large heap of robotic parts resembling the canon character of the same name. He has a fox-like head with no bottom jaw and black eyes with red pupils, as well as holding a small orange sickle.

As in, being near ghosts might make you go a bit coocoo. He used the word "corrupt" a lot, when referring to that kind of behavior. But he never experimented with that kind of thing.
