Chester the Chimpanzee, also known as Withered Chester, is a major antagonist in the Five Nights at Candy's series.

He serves as a major antagonist in Five Nights at Candy's, it's remake Five Nights at Candy's Remastered, and Five Nights at Candy's 2, and a cameo character of Five Nights at Candy's 3.

He is a chimp animatronic from Candy's Burgers & Fries.

Chester is the least popular of the animatronics, having very little fans, much to his disappointment. After he was destroyed and decapitated by RAT, he was rebuilt, only be moved to the Rowboatics Corp. factory, making his rebuild pointless. He was the first animatronic to be sent back to the factory, besides CAT, who stayed there since 1962.

Appearance

Chester is a brown-furred chimpanzee with yellow eyes and green overalls with yellow buttons. He carries a red guitar.

In Five Nights at Candy's 2, Chester is missing his right ear and plating around his eyes, left arm, and right leg.

Biography

Five Nights at Candy's/Five Nights at Candy's Remastered

Chester first appears in Night 2, where he attacks through the left door. He and the other animatronics try kill Mary Schmidt, but fail. After the custom night, Mary is fired for tampering with the animatronics' controls.

Five Nights at Candy's 2

After Mary's firing, a new version of Chester was planned, along with the New Candy the Cat and Cindy the Cat animatronics, but was rejected. In 1989, upon entering his room, Chester would be brutally mauled apart by RAT. Penguin retrieved his dismembered parts, which were then shipped back to the Rowboatics Corp. factory.

Years later, Mary's daughter Marylin loses a bet with her friend and is forced to stay five nights in the factory. There, she encounters the now-withered Chester, as well as other broken animatronics. After Night 6 is completed, the factory burns down, presumably destroying Chester and the others.

While Chester doesn't physically appear in the game itself, he does appear in the 'Cindy's Garden' minigame, where he can be seen reading a book in a hammock.
