Quote "I kinda like the dark."

Chernabog is the main antagonist of the Fantasia franchise. He is an immense demon who appears as the main antagonist of the final segment of Fantasia, "Night on Bald Mountain", though he is often considered the main antagonist of the entire film and is the overarching antagonist of its sequel, Fantasia 2000, as well as in the Greatest Journey trilogy. In "Night on Bald Mountain", Chernabog emerges from Bald Mountain and beckons his minions, who he casts into a fiery pit. He is king of all matter of evil in the realm of Fantasia. He is the only villain powerful than the Firebird.

Chernabog emerges from Bald Mountain overlooking a village. Summoning the dead, including those of executed prisoners, deceased warriors, and those not buried in sacred ground. As they swirl around Chernabig, he summons demons and fire, who gather below him. Chernabog proceeds to toss them into the firery pit of Bald Mountain. He then conjures images from the flames, first of dancers, then barnyard animals, who he converts into demons. Summoned harpies fly above the demons and intermittently fling them into the inferno. However, the chaos is brought to an end by the sun rising, heralding the coming of dawn. Chernabig's minions retreat and the ghosts return to their resting places, while Chernabog hides from the sun and becomes the peak of Bald Mountain once more.

  • He appears in Aurora Borealis and Company, a Gingerverse spinoff, where he is in love with Nadia, who just happens to share his feelings.
