Everyone knows that a Near Pure Evil is one of the most menacing villains in their respective universe, but what about instances where a work is so goofy, you can't even take their NPEs completely seriously?
This is what is known as a Silly Near Pure Evil. By all means, they meet all aspects of the criteria, being irredeemably evil and taken as a threat in-universe, they’re just incredibly comical to the point where they can’t be classified as a "straight" example of a Near Pure Evil and can accurately be described as Parodies of the trope instead.
Please note that this category differs from a Laughably Evil and Minor Comic Reliefs in that a Silly Near Pure Evil is taken completely seriously in-universe while not being taken seriously by the narrative. whereas Laughably Evil Near Pure Evils are taken completely seriously by both the narrative and in-universe in-spite of their humorous moments, and Minor Comic Reliefs being mostly taken seriously, with a few instances where they aren't taken seriously both in-universe and by the narrative.
